DISPLAY LANGUAGE ARRANGEMENT

Public displays are used for various purposes. They are used for displaying any kind of information and even for controlling devices such as elevators. In order to provide best possible benefit the public display should be displaying information in a language that the viewer understands and in a manner that the user can read the text on the display. The user preferences may be selected and applied by requesting a user preference indication from a mobile device. If the room includes more than one person the user preference indication is received from a plurality of persons and the decision of user preferences to be used is done then based on the received indications.

A computerized information apparatus useful for providing information to a user via a display. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a processor apparatus, and first wireless interface, radio frequency apparatus, and at least one computer program configured to run on the processor apparatus, the at least one program being configured to enable functions within a transport device including remote control of environment functions (e.g., HVAC, lighting, imagery capture) based on authentication of a user carrying a portable radio frequency device.

TRANSFORMATIVE ELEVATOR DISPLAY SYSTEM

The invention is generally directed to an elevator display system which provides the illusion of observing a visual narrative of an elevator trip which is made to appear as if the actual elevator has glass walls and one is observing a fanciful elevator trip. The elevator can have a variety of different fanciful rides which are not restricted by the constraints of time, location or physics.

COMPUTERIZED INFORMATION AND DISPLAY APPARATUS WITH AUTOMATIC CONTEXT DETERMINATION

A computerized information apparatus useful for providing information to a user via a display. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a processor apparatus, and speech input apparatus, touch screen input and display apparatus, and at least one computer program configured to run on the processor apparatus, the at least one program being configured to provide a user with contextually relevant content without an affirmative request for such content, but rather based on context divined from one or more free form words spoken by the user, whether while searching for information or otherwise. In one variant, the context determination is performed by a remote networked server after having been provided digitized speech samples via wireless interface. In another variant, the context is determined based on soft function key inputs from the user while requesting information. A virtual database structure enabling rapid context determination is also disclosed.

COMPUTERIZED INFORMATION AND DISPLAY APPARATUS WITH RAPID CONVERGENCE ALGORITHM

A computerized information and display apparatus useful for providing information to a user via a display. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a processor apparatus, touch screen input and display device, and speech input apparatus, and at least one computer program configured to run on the processor apparatus, the at least one program being configured to enable an user to intuitively operate the apparatus to rapidly converge on a desired organization or entity which they wish to locate, via speech input of only a name or a part of a name. The information and display apparatus is particularly useful in time-pressured mobile transport vehicle environments, and when the user is unfamiliar with the operation of the apparatus.

BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INTEGRATED WITH ELEVATOR DISPLAY

A building management system of an occupiable structure with an elevator system includes an elevator video display, a building computing device and a building status system. The building computing device includes a computer processor and a computer readable storage medium. The building status system is configured to send real-time building condition signals to the building computing device, and the building status system is configured to process the real-time building condition signals and output an associated information signal for display on the elevator video display.

Apparatus useful for obtaining and displaying information. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a wireless network interface, touch screen input and display device, and speech processing apparatus configured to receive user speech input and enable performance of various tasks via a remote entity, such as obtaining desired information relating to a desired entity or organization In one implementation, user touch input on the input and display device is converted to spatial or geographic coordinates, and imagery relating to those coordinates is provided to the user on the same device.

ELEVATOR OPERATING UNIT WITH TRAFFIC-DEPENDENT FUNCTIONALITY
20250136408 · 2025-05-01 ·

In an elevator system, floor terminals can be actuated by a control unit in one of at least two operating modes. A screen unit of a floor terminal can generate a user interface with a functional scope dependent on the operating mode. An individual functional scope can be defined for each operating mode. The control unit can determine a local traffic volume at the first floor terminal location. The local traffic volume can be compared with at least one threshold value that is defined for the traffic volume at the first floor terminal to generate a comparison result. A desired operating mode of the first floor terminal can be defined based on the comparison result and the operating mode in which the control unit actuates the first floor terminal. The first floor terminal can be actuated in the defined desired operating mode.

A control system includes at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code is configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the control system to at least perform: controlling application contents displayed by a plurality of displays associated with an elevator system, each application content having an associated respective priority; obtaining a triggering event associated with the elevator system; and changing application content of at least one of the plurality of displays based on the triggering event and the priority associated with each of the application contents.

GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM FOR PASSENGERS

An elevator system is provided. The elevator system includes an elevator car including a camera, a view screen and a communication device. In an event a passenger who is mute and deaf is trapped in the elevator car, communications via the communication device are initiated, sign language movements expressed by the passenger are observed by the camera whereupon the sign language movements are translated into messages for an operator and a sign language to which the sign language movements are associated is identified and responses from the operator are displayed to the passenger on the view screen.
