Elevator system
A landing door of an elevator system includes a door leaf equipped with an integrated floor indicator that signals to a person the floor on which an elevator car approaching the exit floor is currently located. The door leaf of the landing door has a wall element made of sheet metal with a microperforated indicator sector and actuatable light sources arranged in the indicator sector behind the wall element to form the floor indicator.
Position recovery via dummy landing patterns
An elevator system (10) includes an elevator hoistway (12) having a plurality of landings (14), an elevator car (16) configured to move within the elevator hoistway (12), and a position determining system (40) having a plurality of landing position indicators (48) and a plurality of dummy position indicators (50). At least one of the landing position indicators (48) is mounted proximate to each of the plurality of landings (14). Each dummy position indicator (50) is mounted within the elevator hoistway (12) at a predetermined vertical position between various of the plurality of landing position indicators (48). The position determining system (40) additionally includes a sensor (42) configured to determine when the elevator car is adjacent one of the plurality of landing position indicators (48) or one of the plurality of dummy position indicators (50). The plurality of landing position indicators (48) and the plurality of dummy position indicators (50) are positioned to form a sequence of unique patterns. The position determining system is more cost effective and timesaving than the absolute position reference systems.
DUST MITIGATION FOR OPTICAL POSITION REFERENCE SYSTEM OF AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A position reference system of an elevator system includes a reference element having a fixed position in a hoistway of the elevator system, and an optical sensor configured to move along the hoistway with an elevator car of the elevator system and configured to transmit a signal to the reference element to determine the position of the elevator car. An airflow duct is configured to move along the hoistway with the elevator car. The airflow duct is configured to passively direct an airflow toward the reference element to prevent accumulation of particles on the reference element.
AUDIBLE FEEDBACK DEVICE
A standalone device is provided for use with a cab of a transportation system. The standalone device includes a mounting by which the standalone device is attachable to a cab body in an interior thereof, with the cab body being configured to travel between first and second locations and to accommodate at least one person in the interior while traveling. The standalone device further includes a sensor configured to sense a location of the cab body, a speaker and a processing board operably coupled to the sensor and the speaker. The processing board is configured to determine the location of the cab body from sensing results of the sensor and to control the speaker to audibilize a description of the location to the persons.
ELEVATOR CONTROL SYSTEM
In a control system, a code tape is placed in a hoistway with its vertical end parts serving as a fixed end and a movable end. A reader installed in a car reads information indicating a longitudinal position added to the code tape. A detection device detects that the car is in a reference position when a detection switch installed in the reference position on the movable end side of the hoistway detects a detection target cam installed in the car. A controller performs control processing using the position read by the reader as an absolute position of the car. The controller corrects the absolute position of the car using the longitudinal position read by the reader at the time of detection by the detection device.
