Method and device for detecting a deterioration state in a suspension member arrangement for an elevator based on AC voltage measurements with suspension members being electrically short-circuited at their distal ends
A method for detecting a deterioration state in an elevator suspension member including electrically conductive cords uses a multiplexing unit (MU) to apply first and second alternating voltages to proximal ends of first and second groups of the cords respectively and connect the proximal end of a third group of the cords to a voltage measurement arrangement connected to a reference potential. Distal ends of the groups are connected together. A first neutral point voltage between the third proximal end and the reference potential is determined. The MU is switched to apply the first alternating voltage to the second proximal end, apply the second alternating voltage to the third proximal end and determine a second neutral point voltage between the first proximal end and the reference potential. The deterioration state of the suspension member arrangement is determined based on the first and second neutral point voltages.
Monitoring of conveyance system vibratory signatures
A method of monitoring a conveyance system is provided. The method including: monitoring vibratory signatures along a first axis of a conveyance apparatus of a conveyance system; detecting a vibratory signature along the first axis about equivalent to a vibratory signature of significant event; and examining vibratory signatures for a secondary event along at least one of the first axis and a second axis of the conveyance apparatus for at least one of a selected time period after detection of the significant event and a selected time period before detection of the significant event.
Elevator car acoustic integrity check
An elevator car is provided and includes a body, an acoustic response device and a local or remote system configured to control an operation of the acoustic response device whereby an acoustic integrity check to determine a condition of the body is executable by the local or remote system.
Retrieval system and monitoring system
A retrieval system includes a first storage unit (211), a second storage unit (212), a selection unit (216), an extraction unit (217), and a calculation unit (218). The second storage unit (212) stores a plurality of signal tables. The selection unit (216) selects a first use table from the plurality of signal tables. The extraction unit (217) extracts a value of each signal registered in the first use table from the first signal group and the second signal group. The calculation unit (218) calculates a similarity level between the first signal group and the second signal group.
METHOD FOR DETECTING LOSS OR UNDERVOLTAGE CONDITION OF PHASE OF ELECTRIC CONVERTER UNIT, CONVEYOR CONTROL UNIT, AND CONVEYOR SYSTEM
A method for detecting a loss or an undervoltage condition of phase of an electric converter unit, wherein the method comprises: determining an extremum value, such as a maximum and/or a minimum value, of a phase voltage of the electric converter unit for at least one fundamental period of the phase voltage, and comparing the extremum value to a first threshold value, and if, based on the comparison, a first threshold criterion related to the first threshold value is satisfied, then determining the loss or the undervoltage condition of phase.
MEASUREMENT ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD OF MONITORING ROTATION SPEED OF A COMPONENT OF AN ELEVATOR, ESCALATOR, MOVING WALKWAY OR MOVING RAMP
The measurement arrangement for measuring the rotation speed of a component of an elevator, escalator, moving walkway or moving ramp comprises an inductive sensor that is arranged stationary in respect of a rotation axis of the component and adjacent to the component or a measurement part that is attached to the component in a rotationally fixed manner, and the component or the measurement part is configured as rotationally unsymmetrical about the rotation axis so that different angular positions of the component about the rotation axis generate different output signals in the inductive sensor.
Number-of-People Information Acquisition System, Number-of-People Information Acquisition Method, and Elevator
In the present invention, a process of receiving an image obtained by capturing a measurement target place with a camera, calculating a number of people in the measurement target place based on the image received, and allocating a car according to the calculated number of people is performed. Here, when an abnormality that an image from the camera cannot be received is determined, a process of referring to a detection value of a sensor or the like installed in a car or in the measurement target place to calculate the number of people in the car or the measurement target place is performed.
Elevator doorway display systems for elevator cars
Elevator systems including an elevator car having a first elevator car door and an openable ceiling, the openable ceiling comprising a ceiling frame and an openable panel, the openable panel moveable from an open position to a closed position relative to the ceiling frame, an imaging device mounted to the openable panel and configured to capture image data of a detection zone that includes at least an opening formed by the first elevator car door when the openable panel is in the closed position, and a display located within the elevator car to display an image associated with the image data received from the imaging device. The openable panel is openable to create an access way that permits access from an interior of the elevator car to a top exterior of the elevator car.
ELECTRICALLY HEATED ELEVATOR TENSION MEMBER
An illustrative example embodiment of a method provides control over a temperature of a jacket on an elevator tension member that includes at least one electrically conductive cord that is at least partially covered by the jacket. The method includes determining an amount of electrical energy needed to achieve a desired temperature of the jacket and supplying the determined amount of electrical energy to the electrically conductive cord.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO STAIRLIFTS
A stairlift has a communication interface configured to allow communication between a user and a remote site via a variety of communication technologies whilst preventing use of the stairlift if a user is not accompanied by a means of communicating.
