Elevator car and door motion monitoring
An illustrative example elevator sensor device includes at least one sensor supported on a door of an elevator car. The sensor provides an output including an indication of at least movement of the door along at least one axis and movement of the elevator car along at least one axis. A processor associated with the at least one sensor receives the output and determines at least one characteristic of the movement of the door based on the indication of the movement of the door. The processor also determines a location of the elevator car where the movement of the door occurs based on the indication of movement of the elevator car.
BEAM CLIMBER BRAKE CONDITION-BASED MONITORING SYSTEM
A system for detecting a dragging brake of an elevator system including: an elevator car configured to travel through an elevator shaft; a first guide beam extending vertically through the elevator shaft, the first guide beam including a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface; a beam climber system configured to move the elevator car through the elevator shaft, the beam climber system including: a first wheel in contact with the first surface; and a first electric motor configured to rotate the first wheel; at least one brake configured to slow the elevator car to a stop; and a brake condition based monitoring system configured to determine a brake health of the at least one brake.
ELEVATOR SAFETY CIRCUIT
An elevator safety circuit for an elevator system in which an output is arranged to selectively provide an electrical current from an input to an electromagnetic brake coil via a current flow path. An actuator transistor is arranged in series along the current flow path between the input and the output, the actuator transistor being arranged to selectively allow passage of the electrical current. A controller is arranged to carry out a test operation when the braking element is in the open position. The test operation comprises operating the actuator transistor in its disabled mode for a time period, monitoring the electrical current through the brake coil, and determining whether the magnitude of the electrical current reduces during said time period, the time period being selected such that the magnitude of the electrical current remains sufficient for keeping the braking element in the open position during the test.
Measurement and diagnostic of elevator door performance using sound and video
A component monitoring system for monitoring a component of a conveyance system including a conveyance apparatus including: a camera configured to capture a sequence images of the component, the sequence of images being motion data; and a processor configured to determine an evaluation summary of the component in response to at least the motion data.
ELEVATOR CONTROL
A monitoring system for monitoring an operating status of an elevator of an elevator system including one or more elevators includes a passenger tracking portion arranged to determine passenger movement on one or more landings served by the elevator on basis of location indications received from a positioning system; and an elevator status analysis portion arranged to detect a failure in operation of the elevator on basis of the passenger movement determined for a monitoring period.
ELEVATING MACHINE OPERATION INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM
This elevating machine operation information display system comprises: a collection unit that collects, from one or more control boards that control a plurality of elevating machines installed in the same site, elevating machine operation information for each period set for the elevating machine; and a data conversion unit that converts the collected operation information to operation information at preset intervals. In addition, elevating machine usage information that includes at least one of the average call duration and the number of people landing and exiting at halls in the site are caused to be output and displayed on the basis of the operation information converted by the data conversion unit.
FAULT DETECTION METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR POWER EQUIPMENT AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A fault detection method and device for elevator power equipment and an elevator system. The method includes acquiring running speed data of an actuator in the elevator power equipment, and using the corresponding running speed data when the elevator is at a first speed and within a preset duration as target data; obtaining time-domain signal data of acceleration by calculation according to the target data, obtaining frequency-domain signal data of acceleration by conversion according to the time-domain signal data; comparing peak frequencies that form waveform peaks in the frequency-domain signal data with characteristic frequencies of the elevator power equipment, and determining the elevator power equipment to be faulty when at least one first frequency is detected in the peak frequencies, wherein the first frequency matches one of the characteristic frequencies and the amplitude thereof exceeds a preset threshold.
Method for preventive maintenance of an elevator and an elevator system
A method for preventive maintenance of an elevator speed sensor system includes at least a first and a second sensor, which are independent of each other. The method includes: determining a reference distance for an elevator car travel between a first door zone and a second door zone, during the elevator car travel, defining continuously a first elevator car speed information from the first sensor and a second elevator car speed information from the second sensor, calculating a cumulative sensor system error by integrating the difference between the first elevator car speed information and the second elevator car speed information, and dividing the cumulative sensor system error with the reference distance to obtain a sensor system performance indicator.
TENSION MEMBER TENSION MONITORING ARRANGEMENT, A TENSION MEMBER TENSION MONITORING METHOD AND AN ELEVATOR
A tension member tension monitoring arrangement and method for measuring tension member tension of elevator tension members of a bundle of tension members, the elevator comprising an elevator car suspended by the tension members, such as ropes or belts, of the bundle of tension members, a termination at one end of a tension member and a mounting plate for attaching the termination relative to the hoistway, counterweight and/or the elevator. The tension member tension monitoring arrangement comprises at least one capacitive pressure sensor arranged in connection with a tension member termination. The arrangement further comprises a control unit connected to the at least one sensor. The at least one sensor is configured to sense the tension member forces of the tension members of the bundle of tension members attached to the tension member termination and generate a signal relating to one or more tension members of the tension member bundle readable and/or measurable by the control unit and proportional to the sensed load or force.
