The disclosure includes elevator emergency control systems and methods for use in an elevator. The elevator emergency control system may include a control station disposed external to multiple buildings. The control station may be configured to: determine that an emergency condition exists for the multiple buildings; in response to determining that the emergency condition exists for the multiple buildings, transmit a first emergency alert signal that directs a first group of elevators located in at least two buildings of the multiple building to enter an emergency mode, and the emergency mode results in the first group of elevators: traveling vertically downward with respect to a first group of structures; and answering down hall calls until the first group of elevators reaches an elevator weight capacity, an egress floor, or a combination thereof.

Orchestration of an occupant evacuation operation using destination entry fixtures

A system and method of orchestrating an evacuation operation using an elevator is provided. The method includes displaying that an evacuation request using the elevator is an available option, receiving one or more evacuation requests to use the elevator, and displaying evacuation information.

Elevator emergency power feeder balancing

A system and method of balancing elevator car emergency power in an elevator system is provided. The method includes switching a first feeder group of elevator cars from building power provided through a first building power feeder to back-up power provided through a back-up power source, switching a second feeder group of elevator cars from the building power provided through a second building power feeder to the back-up power provided through the back-up power source, selecting, using an elevator controller, at least one elevator car from the first feeder group of elevator cars, selecting, using the elevator controller, at least one elevator car from the second feeder group of elevator cars, and powering the selected elevator cars from the first feeder group and the second feeder group using the back-up power from the back-up power source.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE EVACUATION OF BUILDINGS

A method and a system for the evacuation of buildings providing an elevator system includes at least one elevator car and an elevator shaft. The system includes a device to detect an incident or a device to receive an emergency signal in this regard, a device for determining the floor of this incident, and at least one sealing element (positioned in the elevator shaft and constructed to seal the elevator shaft, so that the elevator shaft is divided in at least two sections.

EVACUATION OF BUILDINGS WITH ELEVATOR SYSTEMS
20190020978 · 2019-01-17 ·

During an evacuation situation in a building that is equipped with an elevator system and in which a plurality of fixed point markers are arranged at defined sites, an escape route is transmitted to a person by means of a mobile device. The fixed point markers store data that can be received by the mobile device. An instantaneous position of the mobile device can be determined when the mobile device uses data received from a fixed point marker to access a database in which the data is linked to a site of the fixed point marker. The ascertainment of the escape route to a destination is based on the instantaneous position of the mobile device. The person is registered on reaching the destination when the mobile device is detected at the destination.

SEQUENCE OF LEVELS IN BUILDINGS TO BE EVACUATED BY ELEVATOR SYSTEMS
20190012887 · 2019-01-10 ·

During an evacuation situation in a building equipped with an elevator system, in which building a plurality of fixed point markers are arranged at specified locations, a sequence of floors (L1, L2, L3) to be evacuated according to which the elevator system services the floors (L1, L2, L3) is determined. The sequence depends on the current traffic situations on the floors (L1, L2, L3). The traffic situation is, in turn, based on the instantaneous positions of the mobile devices. These positions are each determined in each case when a mobile device, by means of data received from a first fixed point marker, accesses a database in which the data is linked to a site of the first fixed point marker.
