An elevator guide having a base attached to an elevator component, a guide riding along a portion of a rail and a spring biasing the guide in contact with the rail. The guide includes one or more of the following: (i) a guide support member operably associated with the guide for movably supporting the guide so that the guide can move toward and away from a corresponding surface of the rail member wherein the guide support member has a plurality of spring engagement sections configured to vary a system effective spring rate; (ii) a roller including a non-metallic rim molded about a bearing; (iii) two independently adjustable stops and, (iv) an opening adjustment member mounted about a notch in the base to vary the distance between the base and the rail. The opening adjustment member has a width and/or depth greater than a width and/or depth of the notch.

Monitoring roller guide health

A guide for individual movement machinery. The guide includes a base, a frame and a monitoring system. The monitoring system includes arrays of sensors affixed to each of the base and the frame to respectively sense guide conditions and to generate readings accordingly.

A roller system, a roller brake device and an elevator system. The roller brake device is used for the roller system. The elevator system includes the roller system. The roller system comprises a roller assembly and a roller brake device, the roller brake device includes: a body, the roller brake device is mounted to the roller assembly by the body; an actuation device mounted to the body; and a brake connected to the body in a pivotable manner, and the actuation device can move the brake from a rest position to a brake position, wherein the brake engages and brakes a roller in the roller assembly at the brake position, and the brake is disengaged from the roller at the rest position.

ELEVATOR ROPING SWAY DAMPER ASSEMBLY

An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator rope sway damping assembly includes a plurality of sway dampers having a width and a length. An actuator device selectively causes movement of the sway dampers in a direction transverse to the length between a first position where the sway dampers are spaced apart by a first distance and a second, sway-damping position where the sway dampers are spaced apart by a second, shorter distance. The actuator device provides an indication when the sway dampers are in the first position.

A cabin guide assembly is described. The cabin guide assembly includes a material layer that has a first material layer surface and a guide that has a first guide surface and a second guide surface opposite the first guide surface. The second guide surface is coupled to the first material layer surface. The cabin guide assembly further includes a base coupled to at least a portion of the first guide surface and one or more adjustment members coupled to the base and arranged to exert an adjustable force against the guide and the material layer.

Brake device for an elevator car, comprising an integrated load measuring device, use thereof in an elevator system, and method

A braking apparatus, that brakes and measures load changes in an elevator car, includes a brake, a brake holding arrangement holding the brake on the car, a load measuring device measuring a force acting on a force transmission element and a load measuring device holding arrangement holding the load measuring device on the car. The brake can be displaced relative to the car in a force direction generated by the brake and the load measuring device is held on the car fixed relative to the car in the force direction. The force transmission element is operatively connected to the brake to measure a force acting between the brake and the load measuring device due to a relative displacement of the brake relative to the load measuring device. A connecting piece arrangement connects the load measuring device holding arrangement and the brake holding arrangement in an elastically deformable manner.
