ELEVATOR SYSTEM
An elevator system has a car and a suspension device, wherein the car is least partially carried by the suspension device. The suspension device includes several electrically conductive tension members that are arranged parallel to one another and are essentially enclosed by a jacket. The suspension device is attached to suspension device mounting fixtures, wherein the suspension device mounting fixtures each include a housing and a clamping element. The housing and the clamping element have clamping surfaces between which the suspension device is clamped. The clamping element and/or the housing is made of an electrically insulating material.

ELEVATOR SYSTEM SUSPENSION MEMBER TERMINATION
An elevator system includes a hoistway and an elevator car suspended in the hoistway via one or more suspension members. A counterweight is suspended in the hoistway via the one or more suspension members to balance operation of the elevator car. A machine is positioned at the hoistway to drive the one or more suspension members along the hoistway, driving motion of the elevator car and/or counterweight along the hoistway. A suspension member termination is supported at the machine, to secure an end of the one or more suspension members. A drive system for an elevator includes one or more elevator suspension members and a machine interactive with the one or more elevator suspension members to drive motion of an elevator car. A suspension member termination is supported at the machine to secure an end of the one or more suspension members at the machine.

Bedplate for elevator system
A support member configured for use in a machine room of an elevator system is provided including a base having a car end and a counterweight end. The counterweight end is arranged substantially parallel to a wall of the machine room, and the counterweight end is arranged at an angle relative to the car end. An idler sheave having a plurality of grooves is mounted to the base in an orientation generally parallel to the car end. The idler sheave is configured to rotate about a first axis of rotation. A plurality of individual sheaves is mounted to the based in a staggered configuration substantially complementary to the angle of the counterweight end relative to the car end. Each individual sheave is configured to rotate about a second axis of rotation parallel to the first axis of rotation.

Elevator
A rope clamp for clamping one or more ropes includes a first clamping member having a first clamping face for being set against one or more ropes to be clamped and a second clamping member having a second clamping face for being set against one or more ropes to be clamped. The clamping faces defining a gap (between them) for receiving one or more ropes. The clamping members are relatively movable towards each other such that the gap is narrowed. The first clamping member and/or the second clamping member includes a metallic face part forming the clamping face of the clamping member, a metallic body part on the back side of the face part, and an elastic intermediate part made of elastic material between the body part and the face part for elastically transmitting force between the body part and the face part.

TRAVELING CABLE SWAY PREVENTION
An elevator system includes an elevator car movable along a hoistway, a traveling cable operably connected to the elevator car and movable along the hoistway with the elevator car, and a traveling cable support positioned in the hoistway and operably connected to the traveling cable to prevent sway of the traveling cable. A traveling cable and traveling cable support arrangement for an elevator system includes a traveling cable positioned in a hoistway and movable in the hoistway during elevator system operation, and a traveling cable support positioned in the hoistway and operably connected to the traveling cable to prevent sway of the traveling cable, the traveling cable support operably connected to the traveling cable via a plurality of guide frames.
