Method of planning platform lift

A method of planning a platform lift, in particular a stairlift, at a stair, the platform lift including a rail, a platform, in particular a chair, a drive unit for driving the platform along the rail, wherein the platform is attached to the drive unit. The method includes acquiring 3D stair data of a stair on which the platform lift is to be installed; calculating based on the acquired 3D stair data a path of travel of the rail, and by retrieving manufacturing constraints, in particular from a database, calculating a feasible path of travel under consideration of the retrieved manufacturing constraints.

An elevator system can include an elevator car comprising an elevator floor, the elevator car connected to a control system, wherein the elevator floor is configured to enable a rolling device to roll from a floor level onto the elevator floor, an elevator wireless communication module connected to the control system, an elevator framework in which the elevator car is configured and an elevator motor configured to raise and lower the elevator car as instructed by a mobile robot and as controlled by the control system according to instructions to the elevator system received via the elevator wireless communication module. The elevator system can be attached to a rack of shelves and be used to autonomously move mobile robots up and down to or from respective shelfs and/or a floor level.

METHOD, COMPUTER DEVICE AND COMPUTER PROGRAMME FOR EXTRACTING INFORMATION ABOUT STAIRCASE

A method for the extraction of information about a staircase includes scanning the staircase with a 3D scanning device to obtain a point cloud of the surface of the staircase; calculating the estimated normal vector of at least a part of the points of the point cloud; filtering the at least part of the points based on their normal vectors by ignoring points which do not have a normal vector with a substantially vertically upward direction; ordering the remaining points into sets of points based on their vertical elevation so that each set of points represents a step; determining a straight edge line of each set, which edge line represents the respective step; and storing a numerical representation of each determined edge line in the digital memory.

Stairlift overspeed safety systems

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for a stairlift overspeed safety system are disclosed. The overspeed safety system may include a centripetal cam assembly, a trigger assembly, and a jammer assembly. The centripetal cam assembly may include a spring-loaded plate and a plurality of centripetal cams connected to the spring-loaded plate, configured to move to an extended position when the rail speed exceeds the speed threshold. The trigger assembly may include a trigger plate configured to be pushed by at least one of the centripetal cams when moved to the extended position. Pushing the trigger plate may cause a switch to open to shut off power to the motorized stairlift. The jammer assembly may include a jammer configured to wedge between teeth of a rack and pinion of the motorized stairlift to initiate a deceleration to stop movement of the motorized stairlift.

ELEVATING APPARATUS BASED ON HETERO-ORIENTED, NON-ISOMETRIC, DUAL-SPIRAL DRIVE STRUCTURE
20220332544 · 2022-10-20 ·

The present invention relates an elevating apparatus based on a hetero-oriented non-isometric, dual-spiral drive structure, comprising a first carrier and a second carrier, further comprising a first support and a second support that are telescoped together in a manner that they can rotate with respect to each other, the first support is provided with a first recessed portion and a first raised portion that shares the same spiral direction and spiral pitch, the second support is provided with a homo-oriented, isometric, dual-spiral second recessed portion that has a spiral direction different from that of the first recessed portion. The carrier of the present invention is provided in a simply-supported-beam, and the carrier force can be achieved without additional weight, and the operation is stable and reliable.
