A SHEET METAL BASE PANEL FOR USE IN ELEVATORS
20230399200 · 2023-12-14 ·

A sheet metal base panel for use in elevators is disclosed wherein the said base panel is made from sheet metal of low thickness without compromising its structural integrity, by a specialised hemming process. The said base panel is constructed from a single sheet of metal and incorporates the top and bottom header to form a unitary component. The construction is such that the headers can be positioned either way and hence possesses rotational symmetry which enables in easier installation. This is achieved by a special bending of the base panel on all edges of both the top side and bottom side, four times—a first 90° bending (1a) followed by a second 90° bending (1b), a third 90° bending (1c) and a fourth 180° hemming (1d) of the open edge formed after the third 90° bending (1c).

Embodiments are directed to protecting an elevator. A plurality of knobs may be provided, each respective knob comprising a respective base having a vertical portion, a horizontal portion, a suspension portion, and a face that are coupled to each other. Each knob may also comprise a respective stem coupled to the face of the respective base. The knobs may be hung from an upper edge of a wall panel or suspended ceiling grid in an elevator. A cover may be provided, the cover having a plurality of openings in the cover disposed along the upper edge of the cover. The cover may be hung from the knobs with each knob having the distal end portion of the respective stem extending through a respective one of the openings in the cover.

GLASS ELEVATOR INNOVATIONS

This disclosure relates to a cooling system for an elevator with electronic visual displays, and a corresponding method. An example system includes an elevator car having an inner wall, and an electronic visual display mounted to the inner wall so as to define a gap between the inner wall and the electronic visual display. Further, fluid is configured to flow through the gap to cool the electronic visual display.

METHODS OF TREATING A LOAD-BEARING PART IN A PASSENGER MOVING SYSTEM

Methods are disclosed of treating a load-bearing part in a passenger moving system. The load-bearing part includes a plurality of tension members surrounded by a polymer material, wherein the load-bearing part includes a plurality of sections. At least one of the sections is configured to be inserted into an end termination. The methods include selecting at least one section of the load bearing part. At least a part of the polymer material at the at least one section is removed to expose the plurality of tension members. A conductive layer is applied to the exposed tension members to obtain a connection terminal. The connection terminal is connected to a monitor. The end termination is connected to the monitor.

Elevator car with ladder removable from the interior

An elevator car with special measures for evacuation has several side walls, a floor and a ceiling, which together enclose an interior of the elevator car. The elevator car has a flap arranged on one of the side walls and a ladder for evacuating persons from the interior of the elevator car. The flap is movable between a closed state, in which the flap blocks access from the interior of the elevator car to an area behind the flap, and an open state, in which access is possible from the interior of the elevator car to the area behind the flap. The flap has a height less than the height of the side walls. In the closed state of the flap, the ladder is arranged in the area behind the flap. The ladder is removable from behind the flap and can be increased in length for the evacuation.
