Method for verifying the identity of a speaker, system therefore and computer readable medium
The invention refers to a method of verifying the identity of a speaker based on the speakers voice comprising the steps of: receiving (1, 5) a first and a second voice utterance; using biometric voice data to verify (2, 6) that the speakers voice corresponds to the speaker the identity of which is to be verified based on the received first and/or second voice utterance and determine (8) the similarity of the two received voice utterances characterized in that the similarity is determined using biometric voice characteristics of the two voice utterances or data derived from such biometric voice characteristics. The invention further refers to a System (80) for verifying the identity of a speaker based on the speakers voice comprising: a component (81) for receiving a first and a second voice utterance; a component (82) for using biometric voice data to verify that the speakers voice corresponds to the speaker the identity of which is to be verified based on the received first and/or second voice utterance and a component (83) for comparing the two received voice utterances in order to determine the similarity of the two voice utterances characterized in that the similarity is determined using biometric voice characteristics of the two voice utterances or data derived from such biometric voice characteristics.
Elevator door safety control
Embodiments include techniques for operating an elevator safety control system and method. The techniques include charging one or more portions of an elevator system, the elevator system includes an elevator door and elevator frame, and monitoring a charge on the one or more portions of the elevator system. In addition, the techniques include detecting a change in the charge on the one or more portions of the elevator system, and responsive to the detection, controlling an operation of the elevator door.
Braking device for a door operator
A device for inhibiting the closing of a door that controls entry of an enclosure includes a first magnet disposed on a driven portion of the device and a second magnet disposed on a fixed portion of the enclosure. The first magnet and the second magnet are configured to be in register with each other as the door moves toward a closed position such that if the first magnet and the second magnet are in register with each other, a pole of the first magnet is in close proximity of a pole of the second magnet such that the first magnet and the second magnet react to each other to inhibit motion of the door towards the closed position.
Safety brake for vertical lifting doors
A vertical door system includes a safety brake that is engaged when the vertical door system fails. The safety brake includes a panel with a slanted channel and a pin slidably disposed in the slanted channel. The panel may be coupled to a counterweight that keeps the pin from engaging with stops in a track when the safety brake is disengaged. When the panel is uncoupled from the counterweight, the safety brake engages and the pin may slide in the channel to allow contact between a portion of the pin and one of the stops in the track to inhibit movement of a door.

Elevator system with optimized door response
A method and system for controlling a movable door associated with a passenger compartment, the door moveable between an opened position and a closed position configured to provide access to, or egress from, the passenger compartment. The method includes monitoring a landing area of the elevator door with at least one sensor, and determining a level of urgency of an approaching passenger based on the information from the at least one sensor. If the level of urgency exceeds a predetermined threshold, modifying a closing of the elevator door based on the level of urgency. The method may also include modifying a closing speed of the elevator door if the level of urgency exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Elevator door monitoring system, elevator system and elevator door monitoring method
The present invention relates to a system for monitoring an elevator door, an elevator system, and a method for monitoring an elevator door. The elevator door has an open state or a closed state implemented by moving along an elevator sill. The system for monitoring an elevator door includes: one or more imaging sensors configured to collect image data and depth data of at least one section in the elevator sill that is exposed when the elevator door is in the open state; and a data processing device in communication with the imaging sensor and configured to receive and process the image data and the depth data to determine whether an obstacle preventing the elevator door from entering the closed state exists in the section. By applying the present invention, the safety of the elevator door can be improved effectively, and equipment property losses and personal injuries can be avoided.

DOOR CONTROLLER AND DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING MOVEMENTS OF AT LEAST ONE DOOR LEAF OF AN ELEVATOR DOOR
A door control system with a door controller controls shift movements of at least one door leaf of an elevator door. The door controller is configured as a slave controller to implement master instructions from an elevator controller, acting as a master controller, by actuating a door drive. The door controller is also configured to autonomously reverse a previous door leaf movement, preferably by a specified distance, when a collision of the at least one door leaf with an obstacle is detected, by appropriately actuating the door drive. In this way, even in the event of a malfunction of the elevator controller or if an elevator installation is operated in a fire mode or maintenance mode, it can be ensured that no obstacles or people are trapped in the elevator door.
