Protective arrangement for an elevator
An elevator having an elevator car configured to move in a hoistway, and floor landings, and a protective arrangement, which arrangement has a wall connected to the bottom of the car, which protective wall can be displaced between a vertical operating position and a retracted position folded out of the vertical operating position, and when in which operating position the wall forms a wall extending downwards from the bottom edge of the floor landing side of the elevator car, and in which elevator the protective arrangement has locking means for preventing the protective wall in the operating position from folding out. The locking means has one or more movable locking means, which is/are arranged to be moved between a locking and retracted position, when in which locking position the locking means prevents the wall in the operating position from folding out of the operating position towards the retracted position.
Elevator
An elevator includes at least one elevator car driving in an elevator shaft driven by an elevator drive. The elevator car has at least one car door and a door sill at the bottom of the car door, which door sill includes at least one groove, in which the car door is guided, in which groove at least one trash hole is located to prevent trash from accumulating in the groove, whereby the elevator car further includes a toe guard which extends downwards from the door sill. The trash hole is connected with a first upper end of an air channel extending downwards from the door sill and includes at least one channel portion extending with a direction component in a horizontal direction and/or having an opening directed sideward, which air channel is connected with the toe guard. The elevator leads to a reduced noise generation in the region of the door sill, particularly in elevator cars traveling with a high speed.
Elevator Plate Assembly
An elevator plate assembly for use with an elevator system including an elevator car configured to move between levels of a building along a pathway, the assembly including: a plate configured to be positioned to cover an aperture defined by a floor of the building and to be carried by the elevator car as the elevator car travels along the pathway through the aperture defined by the floor of the building; and a sensor system configured to be communicatively coupled to a control system of the elevator system, the sensor system including a pressure sensitive device coupled to the plate, the pressure sensitive device being configured to detect the presence on an obstruction on the plate by detecting a force applied to the pressure sensitive device which is greater than a threshold force, such that, on detection of the presence of an obstruction by the pressure sensitive device, the sensor system is configured to send an alert to the elevator control system.

Apron device, elevator car and method for protecting from falling into elevator shaft
An apron device, an elevator car and method of protecting falling into an elevator shaft. The apron device comprises a first protective element and a second protective element which are both located under a door sill of an elevator car. The elements form together a bending stiff sleeve structure which can move in relation to the elevator car. The first protective element can lift the second protective element being closer to the elevator car. When the second protective element is lifted, its upper part moves in transversal direction towards a space below a bottom of the elevator car. The first protective element is moved only in vertical direction.
ELEVATOR CAR WITH RETRACTABLE APRON AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM COMPRISING SUCH AN ELEVATOR CAR
An elevator car (6) includes a retractable apron (12), which is movable between an extended position and a retracted position, and a retraction mechanism (14), which is configured for retracting the apron (12) from the extended position into the retracted position when the elevator car (6) approaches the bottom (4a) of a hoistway (4), so that the apron (12) does not contact the bottom (4a) of the hoistway (4).
ELEVATOR DOOR ENFORCER
An elevator door enforcer may be used to enhance the safety of an elevator landing door. The device includes a pin, and a mechanical structure that affixes the pin securely to the elevator landing door. The pin is a protruding structure that may be positioned so that a portion of the pin protrudes from the affixation point, downwards past the bottom of the elevator landing door, and into a sill groove when the elevator door enforcer is in use.
