ABNORMALITY DETECTION APPARATUS FOR PASSENGER CONVEYOR
Provided is an abnormality detection apparatus for a passenger conveyor, including: a first sensor arranged at an upper horizontal portion; a second sensor arranged at a lower horizontal portion; and a control device configured to receive respective outputs of the first sensor and the second sensor, wherein the first sensor and the second sensor are each configured to measure a distance to a side surface of each of steps along a traveling direction of each of steps, and wherein the control device is configured to detect abnormality of the passenger conveyor based on a change amount of each of measurement values given by the first sensor and the second sensor.

Provided is a man conveyor apparatus (1), including: steps (17) connected in an endless manner; two or more drive motors (4a and 4b), each being configured to circulate the steps (17); a load detection device (10) configured to detect a load of the drive motors (4a and 4b); and a controller (11) configured to control an operation and stop of each of the drive motors (4a and 4b), wherein the controller (11) increases or decreases the number of the drive motors to be driven in accordance with a value of the load detected by the load detection device (10) and changes a drive motor to be driven as a main motor each time the number of drive motors to be driven is decreased.
CONVEYANCE ELEMENT FOR A PEOPLE CONVEYOR
A conveyance element (20) for a people conveyor (1) is configured for being moved in a conveyance direction. The conveyance element (20) comprises a tread plate (24) configured for supporting passengers and at least one protection element (28, 29) configured for collecting items and/or fluids. The tread plate (24) has a longitudinal extension extending parallel to the conveyance direction and a lateral extension extending transversely to the conveyance direction. The at least one protection element (28, 29) is arranged below the tread plate (24), when the conveyance element (20) is arranged in an upright orientation, and it extends beyond at least one end (23) of the tread plate (24) in the conveyance direction.
CONVEYANCE ELEMENT FOR A PEOPLE CONVEYOR
A conveyance element (20) for a people conveyor (1) is configured for being moved in a conveyance direction. The conveyance element (20) comprises a tread plate (24) configured for supporting passengers and at least one protection element (28, 29) configured for collecting items and/or fluids. The tread plate (24) has a longitudinal extension extending parallel to the conveyance direction and a lateral extension extending transversely to the conveyance direction. The at least one protection element (28, 29) is arranged below the tread plate (24), when the conveyance element (20) is arranged in an upright orientation, and it extends beyond at least one end (23) of the tread plate (24) in the conveyance direction.

An escalator system for facilitating the transport of good is disclosed. The system includes a step plate comprising a horizontal planar surface configured for supporting a passenger's weight. A pulley is located near, and coupled with, a bottom of the step plate. The system also includes a retracting platform having a horizontal planar surface coplanar with the horizontal planar surface of the step plate. The retracting platform is configured to lower into the step plate. A platform chain is connected on one end to an upper adjacent step plate and connected on another end to a bottom surface of the retracting platform. The platform chain extends around the pulley and when the upper adjacent step plate moves upward, the platform chain is pulled toward the upper adjacent step plate, and the platform chain pulls the retracting platform down such that the retracting platform lowers into the step plate.

An escalator system for facilitating the transport of good is disclosed. The system includes a step plate comprising a horizontal planar surface configured for supporting a passenger's weight. A pulley is located near, and coupled with, a bottom of the step plate. The system also includes a retracting platform having a horizontal planar surface coplanar with the horizontal planar surface of the step plate. The retracting platform is configured to lower into the step plate. A platform chain is connected on one end to an upper adjacent step plate and connected on another end to a bottom surface of the retracting platform. The platform chain extends around the pulley and when the upper adjacent step plate moves upward, the platform chain is pulled toward the upper adjacent step plate, and the platform chain pulls the retracting platform down such that the retracting platform lowers into the step plate.
ESCALATOR HAVING STEP TREADS THAT INTERENGAGE IN THE RETURN RUN
An escalator is described that is designed in an installation space-saving manner and can be operated with low wear. The escalator has a plurality of treads and a guide-rail assembly to guide the treads during a return run. Each tread front intermeshing structure and a rear intermeshing structure that are complementarily configured in such a manner that they can meshably engage into one another in the forward run. The escalator is configured such that at least in a central region of the return run moving at an incline, the intermeshing structures of adjacent treads are meshably arranged with each other. As a result, the dimensions of the escalator can be reduced and adjacent treads can mutually guide each other through the meshing engagement.

A skirt guard panel is respectively disposed on two sides of the step, and the step is constructed to reciprocally move between the entrance and the exit along a path defined by the skirt guard panel. The step includes a tread, a tread guard panel is attached to each of two sides of tread, and the tread guard panel is located between the tread and the skirt guard panel. The tread guard panel includes two or more protrusions, each protrusion is constructed to protrude with respect to an upper surface of the tread, and a protrusion farther away from the tread has a larger protrusion height. The passenger conveying device of the present invention has the advantages of simple structure, reliable installation, and convenient maintenance.
