An elevator system is provided. Aspects includes at least one elevator car, a plurality of sensors, a controller coupled to a memory, the controller configured to receive a call request for an elevator car from a user device. An identifier is transmitted to the user device and to the plurality of sensors. A location of the user device is determined based at least in part on at least one sensor in the plurality of sensors detecting the identifier on the user device. And the at least one elevator car is operated based on the location of the user device.

Contactless elevator service for an elevator based on augmented datasets
Systems, methods and devices for real-time contactless elevator service operation of an elevator includes a trained neural network (TNN) model. The TNN model is trained using a training processor with augmented datasets as a synthetic training dataset, to later perform elevator identifier recognition. The augmented data sets are generated from synthetic text images, the synthetic text images are augmented with different geometrical parameters and visual parameters to a predetermined number of variations in appearance to a set of training elevator identifiers. A camera captures a user image. A text image portion from the user image is extracted using the TNN model, and detects an elevator identifier in the extracted text image portion using the extracted text image portion and the TNN model. The detected elevator identifier is displayed for user confirmation or user cancellation, and upon user confirmation, generates a control command based the detected elevator identifier associated with an elevator service.

The invention relates to a method of providing a seamless wireless connection in an elevator system of a building. The method comprises receiving an elevator car request from a passenger who is on a source floor, dispatching an elevator car to the source floor in response to the elevator car request, selecting at least one wireless local area network (WLAN) established in the building, and forwarding the selected at least one WLAN via a network node placed in at least one of an elevator hall of the source floor, the dispatched elevator car, or an elevator hall of a destination floor.

Disclosed herein are apparatuses and methods for controlling a robot to use an elevator of a building. A tag indicating arrival at an elevator block can be received from a robot. Based on receiving the tag, a credential for the robot can be transmitted to an elevator system. An indication of an elevator cab assigned to the robot can be received from the elevator system. A command to travel to the elevator cab can be transmitted to the robot.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM WITH OPERATION OF ELEVATOR CALLS ADAPTED TO MIXED-USE BUILDINGS
An elevator system for a building comprises an elevator controller and an elevator car movable in an elevator shaft. At least one first floor or first floor area for a first user group and at least one second floor or second floor area for a second user group are defined in the building. A memory device saves this definition and an operating mode assigned thereto for each user group. During operation, a first elevator call is received and analyzed by the elevator controller to determine a first call input floor and/or a first destination floor. An operating mode is ascertained based on the first call input floor and/or the first destination floor. According to this operating mode, the elevator car is controlled by the elevator controller.

A method for dispatching a plurality of elevator cars that includes receiving a call for at least one of the plurality of elevator cars. The call is from a first location of a plurality of locations. The method includes determining an occupant capacity for each of the plurality of elevator cars by determining a number of occupants within the plurality of elevator cars and determining a number of calls assigned to the plurality of elevator cars and positioned between a current location of the plurality of elevator cars and the first location. The method includes assigning the call from the first location to a first elevator car with an available occupant capacity that is greater than the occupant capacity of the plurality of elevator cars.
