A method of managing mobile elevator call requests from a mobile device is provided. The method includes: receiving an elevator call parameter from a management interface; receiving at least one mobile elevator call request from a mobile device; comparing the mobile elevator call request to the elevator call parameter; and restricting the mobile device from sending additional mobile elevator call requests when the mobile elevator call request conflicts with the elevator call parameter.

An exemplary elevator passenger interface device includes a touch screen configured to allow a passenger to indicate a request for elevator service by touching the screen. An assistance button is positioned near the touch screen. A controller is configured to determine a destination requested by a passenger touching the screen. The controller is also configured to determine whether the assistance button has been manipulated and then to determine a destination requested by a passenger from a subsequent manipulation of the assistance button.

Elevator system passengers are transported in one or more of a plurality of elevator cars. The elevator cars can require different amounts of energy to operate. Passenger trips can be allocated to one car or another car based on the expected energy consumption for the trips in one or the other car.

An interaction safety control method between an elevator system and a machine passenger, which includes: receiving a command from the machine passenger; based on a received command, determining the safety of the command with respect to the elevator system; and in case that the command is determined to be unsafe with respect to the elevator system, not sending the command to an elevator control device of the elevator system.
