A method of operating a building elevator system within a building having a plurality of floors is provided. The method including: controlling a building elevator system comprising a first elevator system having a first elevator car, a second elevator system having a second elevator car, and a third elevator system having a third elevator car, the first elevator car is configured to serve a plurality of floors within a first sector, the second elevator car is configured to serve a plurality of floors within a second sector, and the third elevator car is configured to serve a plurality of floors within the first sector and the second sector; detecting at least one of a time of day, an intensity of traffic between the first sector and the second sector, and an intensity of traffic within each sector; and assigning the third elevator car to the first sector or second sector.

Aspects includes an elevator car, a sensor affixed to the elevator car, wherein the sensor is operated by a controller, the controller is configured to receive occupancy data associated with the elevator car. The occupancy data is analyzed to determine an occupancy of the elevator car. A first hall call is received and based at least in part on the occupancy and the first hall call, adjusting operation of the elevator car in the elevator system.

A passenger transport system includes a plurality of passenger transporters controlled by an transport system control, and further comprises at least one parameter memory configured to store at least one parameter or parameter set for the function of at least one transport system component, which transport system comprises a first wireless interface. The passenger transport system comprises mobile devices carried by users, which mobile devices may communicate wirelessly with the first interface, which communication is based on a short range transmission. A passenger system interaction with a user to individual user requirements may be customized.

The apparatus may be configured to: obtain, for a plurality of passengers, a respective transport request for elevator transport using said one or more elevators, the transport request comprising at least respective indications of an origin floor, a destination floor and a requested transport time window; derive, in dependence of said plurality of transport requests, a transport schedule that includes a respective transport allocation for each of said plurality of passengers, wherein a transport allocation for a passenger is derived in accordance with the requested transport time window indicated for the respective passenger, in view of transport allocations derived for other passengers and in view of a transport capacity of said one or more elevators and wherein the transport allocation for a passenger comprises at least a scheduled transport time for the respective passenger; and operate said one or more elevators in accordance with the derived transport schedule.

A passenger guidance system, elevator system, and passenger guidance method for elevators. The passenger guidance system includes: a sensor, arranged to collect object feature data of a passenger going towards an elevator; a processing device, in communication with the sensor and an elevator system, for receiving the object feature data and comparing the object feature data with stored passenger information to learn information of a target floor of a successfully matched passenger, and learning a target elevator currently dispatched corresponding to the target floor according to elevator running information of the elevator system; and a guidance device, in communication with the processing device, for forming a sign to at least guide the successfully matched passenger to go towards the target elevator. The present invention can be applied to humanistically and intelligently guide the passenger to reach the target elevator, and bring good elevator taking experience to users.
Elevator system assigning cars to floor groups
A ropeless elevator system may include a plurality of elevator cars, a first hoistway, a second hoistway, an upper transfer station, and a lower transfer station. Movement of each of the plurality of elevator cars may be controlled according to a predetermined assignment in which: a plurality of floors is divided into a plurality of floor groups, each of the plurality of elevator cars is assigned to at least one of the plurality of floor groups, and each of the plurality of elevator cars is dispatched only to floors within the at least one floor group assigned thereto.
Dynamic elevator door control
A method for dynamic elevator door control is provided. The method is implemented by a system, which includes an elevator. The system procures passenger data, which can include a number of passengers presently travelling to a floor and a number of passengers awaiting to board at the floor. A determination is made by the system with respect a door operational time based on the passenger data. The system implements the door operational time to dynamically cause doors providing access to the elevator to remain open for a duration of the door operational time.

A method of controlling access to a building is provided. The method comprising: receiving visitor contact information for a visitor from a resident device, the visitor contact information identifies a visitor device of the visitor; receiving visitor access permissions for the visitor from the resident device, the visitor access permissions include at least one of a selected elevator car, a selected door, and a selected floor; and granting the visitor device access to at least one of the selected elevator car, the selected door, and the selected floor.
