Apparatus for positioning logs
An apparatus to drag logs to a log splitter from locations distant from the log splitter to locations near the log splitter, and then to assist with lifting logs for placement on the log splitter, comprises generally a mast-and-boom assembly with a first mount point and first pulley, and a second mount point and second pulley at a height below said first mount point and first pulley, a winch, and a cable attached a one end to said winch, threaded through said first pulley and said second pulley, and connectable at the other end to a log via a connection means, said apparatus being suitable for integration with a log splitter.
Tower hoist, platform and davit system
Hoists, platforms and davits are described as well as methods of securing same to telecommunication and other towers. The hoists, platforms and davits may be secured to the towers on a temporary basis using clamps. The clamps may include brackets and cables. The cables may be attached to the brackets, may wrap around the outer surface/perimeter of the tower pole/leg and may use tension to keep the bracket in place.
Deck with a slidable platform
This invention relates generally to a deck with a slidable platform such as for use in construction. In one embodiment, the a deck includes, but is not limited to, at least one fixed member positionable on a floor of a building, the at least one fixed member including at least one drive mechanism coupled thereto or disposed therein; at least one extension member that is coupled to the at least one drive mechanism, the at least one extension member operable to retractably extend from the at least one fixed member beyond an edge of the floor in response to actuation of the at least one drive mechanism; and a platform that is detached from the at least one fixed member and that is coupled to the at least one extension member such that the platform is operable to retractably extend beyond the edge of the floor in conjunction with the at least one extension member, the platform including at least one wheel operable to interface directly or indirectly with the floor of the building for distributing at least some weight from the platform to the floor of the building.
Weather maintenance system for an offshore wind turbine maintenance program
An all-weather maintenance system for an offshore wind turbine maintenance program includes a maintenance capsule for transporting tools, parts and maintenance personnel to and from respective wind turbine towers, a maintenance vessel with a capsule support apparatus for transporting capsules supported on board by the capsule support apparatus to and from respective wind turbine towers, and a crane assembly with a trolley for transporting capsules between the respective wind turbine towers and the maintenance vessel.
TRUSS LIFTER
An article of manufacture for providing constructions aid, and more specifically, an article of manufacture for a portable, self-supporting truss-lifting winch and support is disclosed.
Well servicing lift apparatus
An apparatus for lifting, lowering and positioning well servicing apparatus relative to an oil or gas well is disclosed. A tubular main body is mounted in an operative position relative to a wellbore, by a bolted flange, clamp or other means. A lift arm having a vertical arm section and a horizontal arm section is slidably disposed in said main body and movable vertically and rotationally. A hydraulic cylinder, preferably positioned within the main body, moves the lift arm vertically up and down. Desired rotation is achieved by the interaction of a guide pin or cam follower, disposed in the main body and extending into a slot pattern on the outer surface of the vertical arm section, as the lift arm is moved vertically by the hydraulic cylinder. The apparatus can be used to position a safety “night cap,” a ball drop mechanism, or other tools on a well.
FLANGE COVER MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING DEVICE AND COOLING DEVICE
A flange cover mounting and dismounting device, which comprises: a base part, comprising a fastener element with a fastener hole array, and being fastened on a flange cover mounting surface by the fastener hole array; and a jib arm assembly, having a first end being pivotally connected to the fastener element, and a second end being connected to the flange cover. The flange cover mounting and dismounting device can be fixed to the flange cover mounting surface having a corresponding fastener hole array, which is convenient for mounting and dismounting a flange cover. In addition, under most circumstances, the fastener hole array on the flange cover mounting surface is intrinsically owned by the devices, which originally can be applied to connect modules of each device or used for other applications.
WIND TURBINE TOWER WITH CRANE CONNECTION ELEMENTS AND A CRANE WITH TOWER FLANGE CONNECTION ELEMENTS
A crane (2) comprising a base portion (4), two arms (6, 8) displaceably connected to the base portion and a lifting boom (22) displaceably connected to the base portion, said lifting boom being provided with a lifting wire (32) and a lifting member (30), for example a lifting hook, for lifting a load, wherein the two arms and the base portion in combination comprise at least three tower flange connection element (10) is arranged to be detachably connectable to cooperating crane connection elements on a flange of a wind turbine tower section, wherein each arm comprises one of the tower flange connection elements, and wherein the vertical distance between any two tower flange connection elements in the normal operating position of the crane is less than 1 m, less than 50 cm or less than 25 cm. In this way a crane is provided which can be attached to a flange located at the upper portion of a tower section.
HOISTING SYSTEM, APPARATUS, KIT AND METHODOLOGY
System, apparatus, device, kit, method and associated technique for safely and securely lifting wall and other structures to a vertical position. An electronic winch device that when connected to an end of a wall structure lifts the structure. A keeper or catchment such that when the electronic winch has hoisted the wall structure to a substantially vertical position, catches and keeps the wall structure in place, allowing the technician to more properly secure the wall structure. The apparatuses are also designed for portability and collapsibility, with structural members telescoping inside one another to minimize size in transport but securely configurable when extended and locked into place.
METHOD FOR MOVING AN OBJECT BETWEEN A PLATFORM OF A WIND TURBINE AND A DECK OF A VESSEL AND FRAME STRUCTURE USED FOR COUPLING OF PULLING MEANS OR A PULLER
Provided is a method for moving an object between a platform of a wind turbine and a deck of a vessel, wherein the platform is located at a tower the wind turbine, wherein the object is moved vertically by a hoist coupled between the object and at least one fixation site the wind turbine located above the platform and the deck, wherein the object is deflected radially from the tower by a puller coupled between the object and the vessel.
