There is provided a mobile crane including an undercarriage, turning body turnably supported by the undercarriage, a boom derrickably supported by the turning body, a derricking unit that causes the boom to perform a derricking operation, a derricking force measurement unit that measures a derricking force by which the derricking unit causes the boom to perform the derricking operation, a ground angle acquisition unit that acquires a boom-to-ground angle which is an angle of the boom relative to a ground where the undercarriage is disposed, and an actually suspended load calculation unit that calculates an actually suspended load, based on the derricking force and the boom-to-ground angle.

Disclosed is a base assembly for supporting a crane pedestal. The base assembly comprises four base units, each having a first end and a second end, and each base unit being of an L-shape with an outside beveled corner. Fastening devices connect each base unit at their first and second end to respective first and second ends of another of the four base units. The four base units are dimensioned so that, when connected by said fastening devices, they form an octagonal-shaped base structure. The four base units are also dimensioned to support four pads that each rest on a face of 14 each unit adjacent to its beveled corner when the four base units are assembled in the octagonal-shaped base structure. Also disclosed is a method for assembling a base assembly for supporting a crane pedestal and a fastening device for connecting the ends of two units together.

In accordance with the invention, a placement device is provided that is connected to the undercarriage and comprises at least one movable placement part that is movable from a travel position into a placement position and vice versa. In this respect, the travel position is characterized in that the length of the undercarriage is reduced, and the crane is travelable on the construction site, whereas the placement position is characterized in that counterweight elements can be placed on the placement part by means of the ballasting device and the length of the undercarriage is increased in comparison with the travel position.

The invention relates to a mobile crane, that comprises a mobile undercarriage and a superstructure rotatably supported on the undercarriage and having a boom and a ballasting device. In accordance with the invention, a placement device is provided that is connected to the undercarriage and comprises at least one movable placement part that is movable from a travel position into a placement position and vice versa.
