TETHERED FLOATATION DEVICE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM
A device for retrieving a stranded or drowning person can attach to a boat cleat and be used to draw the stranded person towards the boat. The device has a floatation portion that is thrown to the stranded person. The floatation portion has multiple latches for different sized persons. A winch portion pivots about a cleat adaptor, which attaches to the horns of a boat cleat using an aperture and a locking pin. The winch portion receives the cord that is attached to the floatation portion. An optional ice foot mates to the cleat adapter for retrieving a person who has fallen through ice.

Manhole Guard and Attachable Winch Mount
A manhole guard, methods of assembling the same, and methods of using the same, are described. The manhole guard generally includes a plurality of sections connected for movement, the sections being capable of being locked into a fixed rigid structure through the use of a first arm and second arm that act independently of each other. The manhole guard may include a safety net attached to one or more sections of the manhole guard. The manhole guard may include attachable mounting brackets designed to facilitate the attachment of a first hoist device and/or first winch and include attachable mounting members designed to facilitate the attachment of a second hoist device and/or second winch.
Lift device for dust collection box of wood working machine
A lift device for a dust collection box of a wood working machine includes a driving shaft unit, a passive shaft unit, a rotary unit, a break unit, a pulley unit and a cable unit. The driving shaft unit and the passive shaft unit are connected to the underside of the working table. The driving shaft unit includes a first gear and a second gear. The passive shaft unit includes a third gear which is engaged with the second gear. The rotary unit is connected to the driving shaft unit to rotate the driving shaft. The break unit is pviotable between a break position and a loose position. When the break unit is at the break position, the break unit prevents the driving shaft from self-rotating. The lift device lifted or lowers the dust collection box by cooperation of the pulley unit and the cable unit the lift device.

CARGO SECUREMENT DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS
Cargo securement device (CSD) for securing cargo includes a top encasement and a bottom encasement; and, a center gear rotatably secured to at least one of the top encasement and the bottom encasement. The device further includes one or more spools, wherein each spool includes a spool gear for cooperatively engaging with the center gear. A retractable strap attaches to each spool.
Termination installation for long cables
A method for creating a composite cable having at least one high-performance termination on at least one end. A high-performance termination is added to an end of a short synthetic tensile strength member. The strength of the tensile strength member and termination is then tested. Once tested satisfactorily, the short cable is spiced onto a long cable of the same type using prior art splicing techniques. The union of the short cable and the long cable creates a composite cable having a high-performance termination on at least one end. In most applications it is preferable to set the length of the short cable so that the interwoven splice will exist at a desired location.

Winch assembly
A winch assembly includes a base having first and second sides, a first shaft supported by the base and supporting a gear and a reel, and a second shaft supported by the base and supporting a ratchet gear. The ratchet gear meshes with the gear and a pawl, and a handle is attached to the second shaft for rotation thereof. The winch includes a cover having a top movable between first and second positions and first and second sides rotatably supporting the top. The first side may include a first arm extending toward and engaging a second arm extending from the second side. The top may include hooks for engaging a shaft extending between the sides of the cover. The sides of the cover may each include at least one retainer clip and the top includes corresponding lugs for engaging the at least one retainer clips.
