Motor-driven fairlead to aid in spooling or unspooling a line from a winch
A fairlead for use with a winch is disclosed. The fairlead includes: a device for detecting a speed at which a line is being spooled or unspooled from the winch, a first and second roller adapted to aid in spooling or unspooling a line, a fairlead motor for driving at least the first roller, and a controller connected to the fairlead motor. The controller is in communication with the device for detecting the speed. The controller is configured to direct the fairlead motor to drive at least the first roller at a speed that maintains tension on the line as it is unspooling or spooling. Alternatively, the device measures current drawn by the fairlead motor and the controller directs the fairlead motor to drive the rollers at a speed that maintains a target current draw.

SPRING-ASSISTED ROTARY ACTUATOR
The present disclosure may be embodied as a rotary actuator for lifting a load against gravity. The actuator includes a housing and a drive motor attached to the housing. The drive motor has a drive shaft. The drive shaft may be configured to be manually operated. A rotatable output shaft is attached to the housing and in mechanical communication with drive shaft. The actuator includes at least one spring which is configured to act on the output shaft to at least partially offset a weight of the load. The at least one spring may be a torsion spring. The at least one spring may be configured to unwind when the motor is driven to lift the load, and may be configured to be wound when the motor is driven to lower the load. The at least one spring may comprise a plurality of springs, such as torsion springs.

Integrated Structure of Power Source of Power Winch and Electric Control Box
In an integrated structure of a power source of a power winch and an electric control box, the electric control box of the power winch is integrally combined with the top of the power source by a support frame, and an outer cover is provided for axially covering the electric control box and the power source and locked and connected to a front shell wall, so that the electric control box and the power source are completely hidden in the outer cover without any exposure. In other words, the electric control box is combined with the power source by a hidden assembly mode, so that the electric control box can be securely assembled without any risk of being shaken or falling off. In the meantime, the electric control box is hidden in the outer cover, and thus it will not be affected by weather at all.
