Portable winch
A portable winch and method of use is shown. One advantage of winches shown includes an ability to lower a boom or boom sections into limited access exit pit for winching operations such as pipe bursting. Sectional boom designs shown provide the ability to easily raise and lower a boom large distances without the need for a single long boom. Selected winch designs shown include flexible inserts between the boom and the winch frame that help resist damage from unforeseen shifting of the device during operation. Designs and methods shown also include multiple pulleys on a boom end unit. Fasteners are shown that reduce build up of debris.
Self-aligning apparatus
A self-aligning apparatus for a lifting system includes a structure which includes a first element having a first projecting free end and a second projecting free end which each receive at least one sheave at a point of attachment to the first element, and at least two first points of rotation. The at least one sheave cooperates with at least one wire. The at least two first points of rotation are arranged above the at least one sheave's point of attachment to the first element so that the apparatus self-aligns during use in an uneven loading event.

FLEXIBLE FORM FACTOR BELT DRIVEN BLOCK AND TACKLE
This disclosure describes a belt driven block and tackle system. Traditionally flat belts have many advantages over wire ropes, including maintenance-free operation for an extended service life, a low cost of manufacture, and a reduced physical size in at least one dimension for a given set of working loads. The system includes a block and tackle including first pair of outer sheaves and a first pair of inner sheaves positioned between the first pair of outer sheaves, and a belt extending from a central point, around the first inner pair of sheaves, the first outer pair of sheaves, and out of the block and tackle.
Hook block base body
The invention relates to a hook block base body for fastening to a pulley set of a hoisting apparatus having a plurality of deflection pulleys comprising a means for installing the hook block base body at the pulley set and a load suspension means for suspending a load, characterized by at least one projection element that is configured to cooperate with a deflection pulley on an installation of the hook block base body at the pulley set and only to permit an installation of the hook block base body at the pulley set when the deflection pulley cooperating with the projection element is rope-free.
Cask transport assembly
A cask transport system includes a support assembly including a plurality of wheels and a support frame coupled to and supported by the wheels. The cask transport system also includes a tower disposed above the support assembly, the tower including a base portion and a tower frame coupled to the base portion, the tower frame movable relative to the base portion. The cask transport system also includes an upper beam assembly coupled to the tower frame, and a bottom block assembly coupled to the upper beam assembly, the bottom block assembly movable relative to the upper beam assembly.

Apparatus, system, and related methods for holding and maneuvering an industrial vehicle spare tire
An apparatus, system, and related methods for holding and maneuvering an industrial vehicle spare tire include a tire support positioned on an industrial vehicle. An industrial vehicle tire is removably securable to the tire support, wherein the tire support has at least two independently adjustable threaded members for controlling engagement of the tire support and the industrial vehicle tire. A winch is positioned proximate to the gate of the industrial vehicle. At least one pulley is positioned above the tire support, wherein at least one winch cable is connected between the winch and the at least one pulley.

Lift system with moving cam assembly and related methods
A lift system for lifting a load includes a counterweight, a base unit, a fly line, a load line, and pulleys. The base unit includes a movable cam assembly coupled to a fixed frame. The cam assembly includes a cam member that is rotatable relative to a carriage of the cam assembly. The cam assembly can be moved between first and second positions relative to the frame member, and prevents movement of the fly line through the base unit in the first position, while movement of the fly line through the base unit is allowed when the cam assembly is in the second position.
