Line roller assembly
A line roller assembly is provided including a base assembly including a clamping assembly configured to clamp the base assembly to a parapet wall surrounding a roof of a structure or other installation, a carriage assembly slidably mounted on the base assembly, said carriage assembly including at least one arm including a roller at a distal end, said carriage assembly movable between at least one extended position and a medial position, and said at least one roller includes a groove configured to receive a line for aiding the line over the parapet wall, wherein in the at least one extended position the at least one arm extends a pre-determined distance over an edge of an outer wall of the structure or the at least one arm extends a pre-determined distance over an inner edge of the parapet wall of the structure over the roof.
Headlock lift
A headlock lift including a base having a left column and a right column, with each column having a lower side and an upper side. A forward cross-spinning beam and a back cross-spinning beam both connect to the upper side of each column. A moveable gate having a topside, a bottom side, and a plurality of vertical poles fixably attachable to the top side and the bottom side, the moveable gate is slidably received over left and right pipes positioned parallel to the left and right columns. Two pulleys are fixed to the forward cross-spinning beam and two winches are fixed to the back cross-spinning beam. Two cables are continually disposed between the two winches and the two pulleys, with the cables each having a free operating-end attachable to the topside of the moveable gate and a captive-end attachable to a respective one of the winches.
Snatch ring pulley
One illustrative embodiment of the present disclosure may include a snatch ring pulley assembly including a pulley wheel body and a deformable retention feature affixed to the pulley wheel body. The pulley wheel body includes a rope saddle portion, a first outer wheel portion, and a second outer wheel portion substantially parallel to the first outer wheel portion. The deformable retention feature is affixed to the first outer wheel portion and extends toward the second outer wheel portion. The deformable retention feature extends uniformly around a circumference of the first outer wheel portion and extends substantially perpendicular to the first outer wheel portion.
Drilling tubular weight compensating system
A positioning and compensation system for a tubular element to be connected to a drill string includes a gripping arm assembly with a gripping device which holds the tubular element in a position for connection to the drill string, and a load supporting and compensating arrangement which supports at least a portion of a load of the tubular element. The load supporting and compensating arrangement includes a cylinder unit having a piston, a winch, a sheave which is connected to the gripping arm assembly, and a wire. The wire is arranged to run around the sheave with a first end being connected to the piston and a second end being connected to the winch. The winch and the cylinder unit are each arranged in a respective elevated position compared to a position of the sheave. The cylinder unit maintains a minimum tension in the wire.
Device for supporting a cable of a capstan of a crane
A device for supporting a cable of a capstan of a crane includes a main supporting structure; a pulley rotatably supported by the main supporting structure, adapted to guide the cable of the capstan; and a sensor for measuring the angular position of the pulley. The pulley includes an auxiliary crown having a plurality of projecting elements disposed along the circumference thereof, and the sensor includes a stationary body integral with the main supporting structure and a wheel rotatable with respect to the stationary body, including a deformable crown meshing with the auxiliary crown of the pulley and made of a material such to deform due to the engagement of the projecting elements, wherein the sensor further includes means for detecting the angular position of the wheel with respect to the stationary body of the sensor.
CABLE FOLLOWER LIFTING LEVER
A cable follower is disclosed herein. The cable follower includes a lever having a first end and a second end, a pivot point disposed at the first end of the lever, the lever configured to rotate about the pivot point, a spring housing disposed at the second end of the lever, a spring disposed in the spring housing, a button disposed in the spring housing and adjacent the spring, and a crowder coupled to the lever at a pivot point between the first end and the second of the lever, the crowder including a wheel.
Load lifting system
Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods and apparatuses for a load lifting system.
Device Providing Safe Access to a Confined Space, Notably a Lateral-Access Confined Space
The invention relates to a device (10) for safe access to a confined space, comprising: a rectilinear support strut (12), two arms (14, 16) each fixed rigidly to an end (12a) of the strut, at right angles thereto and in opposite directions.
A first arm (14) comprises at least one anchoring element (18), the second arm (16) being provided with at least two pulleys (20, 22) whose axis of rotation is at right angles to the plane defined by the strut and the arms. The anchoring element (18) and the two pulleys (20, 22) are arranged so as to allow the passage of a cordage of the anchoring element to the pulleys without interfering with the strut and the first and second arms. The strut (12) has at least one fixing member intended to cooperate with an opening (84) of the confined space in order to ensure the fixing thereof.
Rigging basket
A rigging assembly has no loose parts that an up-rigger may drop. The rigging assembly includes a length of steel cable terminating in a loop at each end. One loop extends through an oblong master link, while the other loop extends through a swivel hook. The ground-rigger can attach the hook of a hoist's chain to the master link on the ground. The ground-rigger can then tie the up-rigger's rope onto the master link. The up-rigger then pulls the rigging assembly and the hoist's chain up to the beam, leaving the master link and chain under the beam. Then the up-rigger grabs the hook end of the rigging basket assembly, bends it over the beam, and attaches the swivel hook end to the master link, thus creating a loop around the beam to support the hoist's chain and load, which is known in the industry as creating a basket.
