Inverted carrier lift device system and method

An inverted carrier lift and method is disclosed. The inverted carrier lift includes a trolley movable along an overhead conveyor and a carrier for supporting a workpiece to undergo an assembly or manufacturing process. The carrier is movable relative to the trolley from a raised position to a lowered position by a motor mounted engaged with a lifting mechanism onboard the trolley. On rotation of the motor, the carrier and supported workpiece is lowered or raised to position the workpiece in the workstation for processing. The workpiece may be disengaged by the carrier for support of the workpiece by one of many different fixtures depending on the processing. Following processing, the workpiece is re-engaged by the carrier, moved to a raised position and the trolley is transferred to a subsequent workstation.

A support beam being connected to the lifting platform the support beam having an engaging member near its proximal end that engages the vertical support rail to provide translational movement of the support beam along the vertical support rail. The control arm having an engaging member engaging the support beam at a location spaced from the vertical support rail to provide translational movement of the engaging member with respect to the support beam. A stabilizer arm is pivotally connected to the control arm and pivotally near the proximal end of the support beam. Movement of the lifting platform causing translational movement of the engagement members.

Parallel lift turret mount

A parallel lift turret mount for a vehicle. A lift plate and lift mechanism vertically adjust the turret and pivot arm, which can support and guide rotation of, for example, a throw conveyor. The parallel lift turret mount can be used for processing, moving and slinging aggregate and can be coupled with a hopper or vehicle.

A movable platform storage device for off-floor storage including a substantially vertical support member (column) anchored to a concrete floor that defines the deployment axis. The movable platform is connected to the vertical support member (column) and can be raised or lowered to one of any plurality of positions oriented generally transversely to the deployment axis by means of an electric servo-motor power unit and wire cable lifting system. The column is available in different lengths to accommodate ceiling height limitations and desired raised platform heights. The platform storage device can be used as a single stand-alone unit or multiple storage units can be combined in a configuration that creates a unique electric/mechanical powered elevated mezzanine system with increase elevated storage area. The servo motor electric/mechanical wireless power system on each of the combined storage lifts can be programmed identically so that all platforms will raise and lower simultaneously. The strength of the unique angled column design and wrap around moveable carriage equipped with a back-brace system (that may be modified) allows the invention to support and lift a variety of adjustable platform configurations that may be needed for various storage applications. Most customers will want to install the storage lift column as close to a wall as possible to maximize the garage floor storage space under the raised platform. The standard adjustable platform is either a square or rectangular configuration. This platform configuration would not allow the column to be placed tightly into a corner and valuable under platform garage floor storage area would be lost. The issue is resolved with a corner designed platform that allows the column to be installed very close to the interior corner of the garage. This uniquely designed platform can be manufactured in various sizes. Alternative adjustable platform configurations can also be used. These various platform configurations can be installed on the invention because of the unique wrap around carriage's ability to support alternative back brace systems and under platform support systems to which various platform sizes and configurations may be attached. These (almost infinite) adjustable platform configurations allow the column to be installed and operated so that a minimum amount of available garage floor storage space is compromised.

Lifting mechanism using negative stiffness

A lifting mechanism includes a load bearing structure, and a carrier. The carrier is configured for supporting a load. The carrier is moveable relative to the load bearing structure in a substantially vertical direction relative to a ground surface, along a vertical axis. A load carrying spring applies a spring force that biases the carrier relative to the load bearing structure in a direction along the vertical axis. A negative stiffness device interconnects the carrier and the load bearing structure. The negative stiffness device applies a device force that biases the carrier relative to the load bearing structure in a direction along the vertical axis. The device force opposes the spring force. The device force includes a magnitude that is substantially equal to the spring force in any of a plurality of different positions of the carrier relative to the load bearing structure along the vertical axis.
