VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER

A vehicle immobilizer system comprised of at least one deployable, remotely actuated lift system. The lift system is transported by a movable frame which can be remotely operated. The movable frame suspends the lift system during transport. However, during the lifting operation, the lift system bears the weight of the vehicle, while the movable frame does not. As a result, the movable frame can be of lightweight construction while the lift system can be robust. The lift system supports a universal docking plate which is designed to contact the suspect vehicle and suspend it without damaging it.

An electric linear actuator for a lift assembly of a scissor lift includes a housing having a first end defining an aperture and a second end opposite the first end, an extending member received within the aperture and slidably coupled to the housing, a screw coupled to the housing, and an electric motor coupled to the housing and configured to drive rotation of the screw to control movement of the extending member along an axis of extension. The housing includes a mount configured to pivotally couple the housing to the lift assembly of the scissor lift. The mount is offset from the second end of the housing along the axis of extension such that the mount is positioned between the first end and the second end of the housing.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TRANSFERRING AN OBJECT

A transfer device includes an extendable transfer platform. The transfer platform includes a fixed plate, a moveable plate, and at least one platform actuator configured to selectively move the moveable plate relative to the fixed plate between a retracted position and an extended position in which a leading edge of the moveable plate is located distally from a leading edge of the fixed plate. The transfer platform also includes a transfer belt having a first end secured to a first driven roller, and a second end secured to a second driven roller. The transfer device also includes a platform support structure secured to the transfer platform for supporting the transfer platform above a floor surface. The platform support structure includes at least one support actuator configured to selectively move the transfer platform relative to the floor surface between a lowered position and a raised position.

Apparatus for lifting a vehicle top

An apparatus for lifting a vehicle top is disclosed. The apparatus may include a base frame including two or more legs and one or more support structures couplable to the one or more legs at a selected angle. The apparatus may include a body frame including a main support and a lifting arm bracket couplable to the main support. The apparatus may include a lifting arm including a lifting platform couplable to a lifting support and one or more stabilizing linkages couplable to the lifting arm bracket, the lifting arm, and the lifting support. The lifting platform may engage an underside of a vehicle top and maintain an orientation substantially parallel to a ground surface as the lifting arm rotates about an axis through the lifting arm bracket.

Scissor arm lift assembly and method of operating the same

A lift assembly including a platform movable to a raised position, a lowered position, and an intermediate position between the raised and lowered positions. A scissor arm system defines a cavity beneath the platform. The scissor arm system includes a pair of scissor arms pivotably connected to each other. The scissor arm system has opposed first and second ends with the first ends of the scissor arm system being coupled to the platform. A stanchion guides the platform between the raised and lowered positions. The stanchion extends from a first stanchion end to a second stanchion end above the first stanchion end. A drive mechanism is mounted to the platform to move with the platform. A flexible member is coupled to the stanchion and the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism winds and unwinds the flexible member to move the platform between the raised and lowered positions.

Safety catch system

A safety latch system includes a mount, a pawl member, a ratchet member, and a release assembly. The mount is mountable on a housing of a piston. The pawl member is coupled to the mount. The pawl member includes a pawl. The ratchet member has a first sidewall that includes a first connecting portion that is connectable to an end portion of a piston rod of the piston. The first sidewall includes a teeth portion, which is configured to engage with the pawl. The release assembly is configured to provide an engaged state between the pawl member and the ratchet member. The release assembly is also configured to provide a disengaged state between the pawl member and the ratchet member. When in the engaged state, the pawl member is engaged with the ratchet member such that the safety latch system is configured to provide (i) an unlocked state in which the ratchet member is movable relative to the pawl member as the piston rod advances outward from the housing and (ii) a locked state in which the pawl member is configured to lock into a depression between adjacent teeth of the ratchet member to stop the piston rod from moving towards the housing. When in the disengaged state, the pawl member is disengaged from the ratchet member to permit the piston rod to advance outward from the housing and permit the piston rod to retract towards the housing.
