A lift device comprises a base, a retractable lift mechanism, a work platform, a linear actuator, an electromagnetic brake, and a manual release device. The electromagnetic brake is movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. In the event of a power failure, the electromagnetic brake is biased toward and engaged position, where an armature is biased away from a magnetic body and into contact with a friction disk by at least one engagement spring, thereby preventing rotation of the friction disk. In a disengaged position, a current is applied to the wire coil to produce an electromagnetic force on the armature that overcomes a spring force of the at least one engagement spring, thereby compressing the at least one engagement spring, pulling the armature out of contact with the friction disk, and allowing the rotation of the friction disk.

The mast arm includes a turntable rotatable about a vertical axis, a two-point lever enclosing at least one cavity, and a plurality of mast arm segments. The plurality of mast arm segments are pivotable at articulated joints about articulation axes relative to an adjacent mast arm segment or the turntable via a respective drive unit. At least one of the respective drive units is fastened to a first mast arm segment and acts via the two-point lever on a second mast arm segment or on the turntable.

SCISSOR DECK ACCESS ARRANGEMENT

A lift device includes a chassis, tractive elements, a platform including a deck, a lift assembly, and a stair assembly. The lift assembly is configured to move the platform between a lowered position and a raised position. The stair assembly is coupled to at least one of the platform and the chassis and includes a first support and a second support extending parallel to one another. The stair assembly is repositionable between a stored position and a deployed position and facilitates access to the deck from the ground when in the deployed position. The first support extends farther outward horizontally than the second support relative to the chassis when the stair assembly is in the deployed position. The first support extends farther outward horizontally relative to the chassis when the stair assembly is in the deployed position than when the stair assembly is in a stored position.

The virtual-barrier system includes at least one emitter and one receiver of waves, the system detecting interference of an external object with the barrier by the fact that the receiver receives waves emitted by the emitter by reflection off the object that is interfering with the barrier.

Foldable rail assembly

A foldable rail assembly is coupled to a platform and includes vertical rails and a rectangular rail structure that is hingedly coupled to the vertical rails. The rectangular rail structure is rotatable about hinged couplings formed between the rectangular rail structure and the vertical rails, and movable between a first, deployed position and a second, folded position. The rectangular rail structure extends upwardly from the platform higher in the first position than in the second position.

A plurality of openings is positioned in the lower shelf. Each of the openings provides access into the interior space wherein each of the openings is configured to receive a tool therein.
