Ribs for an elevating platform, the ribs designed and configured to insert through a slot in the sidewall of the elevating platform. The ribs are composed of T-shaped and/or L-shaped portions. Configurations include a T-shaped rib that inserts through the slot; a combination T-shaped and L-shaped rib wherein the T-shaped component inserts through the slot and the L-shaped component is attached on the exterior of the platform, and a double-L-shaped rib, wherein one of the L-shaped components inserts through the slot and the other L-shaped component is attached to it on the exterior of the platform.

A boom lift system includes a primary conduit, a pump-motor arrangement having a motor operable to drive a pump to move a fluid through the primary conduit, first and second actuators in fluid communication with the primary conduit and actuatable in response to first and second user input to perform hydraulic function via the fluid, a valve arrangement configured to control flow of the fluid from the primary conduit to the first and second actuators, and a controller programmed to selectively actuate the valve arrangement in response to the first and second user inputs. When the controller receives both of the inputs, the valve arrangement is actuated by the controller to vary the flow rate of fluid to each of the first and second actuators. When the controller receives only one of the first input or the second input, the controller varies a flow rate output of the pump.

Control station for a work platform of an aerial lift

The control station 20 of the work platform 10 of an aerial work platform comprises: a control console; a cover 40 for protecting the console, which can be moved between a closed position and an open position; a longitudinal elementsuch as a bar 42coupled to the cover to simultaneously move between the closed and open positions, with the longitudinal element protruding from the front side of the console when the cover is open; and means for detecting an external action pushing the longitudinal element toward the console when the cover is open. This makes it possible to keep the operator safe from being crushed against the console when moving the platform. Besides, the longitudinal element is not an obstacle to the opening or closing of the cover and is put aside when the cover is closed, thus preventing same to be exposed to shocks.

STEP SYSTEM FOR ELEVATING PLATFORM

A step for an elevating platform, the step including a top flange, a bottom flange, and a transition; the step configured to insert into a cutout in the platform sidewall. The bottom flange is configured to contact an outer surface of the platform sidewall when the top flange contacts an inner surface of the sidewall, thereby placing all of the contact areas between the step and the platform under compression when force is applied to the step.
