WARNING AND MESSAGE DELIVERY AND LOGGING SYSTEM UTILIZABLE IN THE MONITORING OF FALL ARRESTING AND PREVENTION DEVICES AND METHOD OF SAME
An active interface monitoring and warning system for fall arresting/prevention devices delivering specific fault condition messages to individuals who are subject to accidental falls or other safety hazards when performing construction or the like or when operating elevating construction machinery such as aerial lift work platforms and the like. The invention further provides a data logging system to record and transmit operational conditions, fault conditions and safety infractions.
Control box and operator interface for an industrial vehicle
A control box and operator interface for an industrial vehicle includes a left thumb joystick controller, a right thumb joystick controller, and integrated handles positioned adjacent the left thumb joystick controller and the right thumb joystick controller, respectively. The integrated handles are ergonomically positioned relative to the left and right thumb joystick controllers such that when an operator grasps the handles, the operator's thumbs are naturally positioned adjacent the left and right thumb joystick controllers, respectively. An enabling mechanism is associated with each of the integrated handles and includes a switch that serves to activate operational functionality of the left and right thumb joystick controllers.
FLEXIBLE PLATE SCALE FOR PLATFORM LOAD WEIGHING
An AWP boom is coupled to a platform rotator through a novel load sensing linkage system which provides both structural support and load sensing capabilities of an attached platform support structure. The load sensing linkage system includes an upper flex plate and a lower flex plate and a single load cell for load sensing capabilities. The flex plates provide for stiffness in all directions except where necessary for load sensing.
Lighting device for an aerial work platform
A battery powered lighting device is configured to be releasably attached to a lift bucket having sidewalls and an upper lip extending from uppermost portions of the sidewalls. The lighting device includes a main housing, a securing member that cooperates with the main housing to secure the device to an aerial work platform, a main light mounted to the main housing and located to illuminate areas outside of the lift bucket, and an interior light located to illuminate an interior of the lift bucket.
System for Treating a Surface
An apparatus for treating a surface of a structure includes a main carriage having an accessory carriage that is vertically movable with respect to the main carriage.
Cab guard with adjustable railing system for aerial device
An aerial device system includes an adjustable railing and a coupler. The adjustable railing is positionable around at least a portion of a base platform and is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position. A height of the adjustable railing in the deployed position is greater than a height of the adjustable railing in the stowed position. The coupler is communicatively coupled to the adjustable railing and is configured to detect a position of a component of an aerial device of the aerial device system and move the adjustable railing based on the detected position of the component of the aerial device. A method of controlling a cab guard safety system for the aerial device includes detecting the position of the component and moving the adjustable railing to a stowed position or a deployed position based on the detected position of the component.
Leveling system for lift device
A lift device includes a chassis, a first actuator coupled to the chassis, a second actuator coupled to the chassis, a third actuator coupled to the chassis, a fourth actuator coupled to the chassis, and a fluid circuit. The fluid circuit is configured to facilitate selectively fluidly coupling the first actuator, the second actuator, the third actuator, and the fourth actuator in at least four different configurations where, in each of the at least four different configurations, two of the first actuator, the second actuator, the third actuator, and the fourth actuator are fluidly coupled together while the other two of the first actuator, the second actuator, the third actuator, and the fourth actuator are fluidly decoupled.
Leveling system for lift device
A lift device includes a base, an arm, a drive actuator, a tractive element, and a steering actuator. The arm has a base end coupled to the base and a tractive element end. The arm includes a steering actuator interface positioned along an exterior surface of the arm. The drive actuator is pivotally coupled to the tractive element end of the arm. The tractive element is coupled to the drive actuator. The steering actuator has a first end coupled to the steering actuator interface and an opposing second end coupled to the drive actuator. The arm includes a plate extending forward of the exterior surface of the arm and past the steering actuator.
Fluid Handling System for Airplane Ground Deicing Equipment
Systems and methods of handling fluids used in ground deicing and anti-icing of airplanes are provided. The disclosed systems/methods are particularly advantageous in delivering non-Newtonian fluids used in anti-icing applications. Maintaining the viscosity of non-Newtonian fluids used in deicing of airplanes within strict limits is of paramount importance for the safe take off/operation of the airplane. The disclosed systems/methods help maintain the viscosity within desired ranges by eliminating two main factors that lead to viscosity deterioration, namely, pumping and high shear stress in piping.
Leveling system for lift device
A lift device includes a base having a first end and an opposing second end, a first arm pivotally coupled to the first end, a second arm pivotally coupled to the first end, a third arm pivotally coupled to the opposing second end, a fourth arm pivotally coupled to the opposing second end, and a leveling assembly. The leveling assembly includes a first actuator extending between the first arm and the first end, a second actuator extending between the second arm and the first end, a third actuator extending between the third arm and the opposing second end, a fourth actuator extending between the fourth arm and the opposing second end, and a controller configured to control the first actuator, the second actuator, the third actuator, and the fourth actuator to reconfigure the leveling assembly between (i) a shipping, transport, or storage mode and (ii) an operational mode.
