DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR USE ON UTILITY TRUCK
A multi-sheet component for a utility vehicle that includes at least one gap between at least two of the sheets, thereby providing a component that enhances worker safety by increasing component stiffness and reducing component thickness. The component is manufactured through multi-sheet thermoforming and uses a conical frustum corrugation to increase stiffness.
Aerial-lift working-platform control desk with protection against crushing of the operator
The aerial work platform includes: a platform provided with a guardrail and a mechanism for lifting this platform; a desk for controlling the movements of the aerial work platform, one or more virtual-barrier systems for determining that an individual on the platform is close to a part of the guardrail adjacent to the desk and/or is leaning towards the desk, by detecting interference between the individual and the virtual barrier, the system inhibiting at least certain movements of the aerial work platform if it detects interference with the barrier. The virtual-barrier system includes at least one emitter and one receiver of waves, the system detecting interference of an external object with the barrier by the fact that the receiver receives waves emitted by the emitter by reflection off the object that is interfering with the barrier.
MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR ELEVATING PLATFORM
Mounting plates for elevating platforms, including a mounting apparatus with interior and exterior reinforcement components elongated vertically. The interior reinforcement piece includes an embedded bolt that extends from the interior reinforcement piece, through a wall of the platform, and through the exterior reinforcement component. The interior and exterior reinforcement components have a stepped construction to convert peel stress to shear stress.
Lighting device for an aerial work platform
A battery powered lighting device is configured to be attached to lift bucket having sidewalls and an upper lip extending from uppermost portions of the sidewalls. The lighting device includes a main housing, a securing member, and a main light mounted to the main housing and located to illuminate areas outside of the lift bucket. The main housing includes a first securing surface and an upper housing portion, with the upper housing portion configured to be located above the upper lip of the lift bucket with the first securing surface engaged against a surface of the lift bucket. The main light is mounted to the main housing to move between a lower position wherein the main light is positioned below the upper housing portion and an upper position wherein the main light is positioned above the upper housing portion.
Environmental alert system for aerial device
An environmental alert system and method for an aerial device including a boom having both insulative and conductive members is disclosed. Temperature, moisture, and humidity sensors are employed on both sides of a location that the boom transitions from being constructed of metal to a dielectric. If environmental data is received indicating the possibility of breakdown in dielectric integrity of the insulative portion due to environmental conditions, warnings are issued to operators.

Safety system and lifting equipment comprising such a safety system
Disclosed is a safety system for at least one person positioned on a platform of a lifting equipment, including a lanyard attaching the person to the platform. The length of the lanyard is variable, and the safety system includes: a sensor for measuring the distance between one end of the lanyard attached to the person and one end of the lanyard attached to the platform, and a unit for processing the measurement from the sensor, suitable for transmitting information and/or warning signals.
LADDER ASSEMBLY FOR A FIRE APPARATUS
A ladder assembly for a fire apparatus includes a first ladder section, a second ladder section extendible relative to the first ladder section, and a slide pad positioned between the first ladder section and the second ladder section. The slide pad includes a body portion, a first engagement surface extending from the body portion, and a second engagement surface extending from the body portion. The first engagement surface is spaced an offset distance from the second engagement surface.
LADDER ASSEMBLY FOR A FIRE APPARATUS
A ladder assembly for a fire apparatus includes a base rail, a hand rail, a first lacing member, a second lacing member, and a gusset. The first lacing member and the second lacing member extend between the base rail and the hand rail. Both the first lacing member and the second lacing member engage the base rail at an interface. Each of the first lacing member and the second lacing member defines a slot along only a portion of a length thereof. Portions of the gusset are received by the slot of the first lacing member and the slot of the second lacing member. The gusset engages the base rail to reinforce the interface.
