Rotary-Type Capping Machine
A rotary capping machine for containers with screw caps includes a central and fixedly mounted support around which a rotary carrier having capping arrangements can be driven to rotate rotation by a first motor. The capping arrangements have capping tools that can be lifted and lowered and that can be rotated by a second motor. Each has, on its underside, a capping head for receiving screw caps. The support central includes a bottom support, the top end of which is connected to a middle support that forms a bearing section and that has a rotary bearing. The middle support releasably connects to a top support, which releasably connects to a head plate. The drive gear's rotation axis and that of the first motor are parallel to the machine axis. The drive gear meshes with a crown gear formed on the rotary carrier. The second motor's drive gear is parallel to the machine axis and meshes with a crown gear formed on the control element.
A WELDING HEAD
A welding head comprises a welding element for welding a lid to an opening device of a container, a supporting body for supporting the welding element and a compensating device for compensating a possible mutual mispositioning of the welding element and the lid during welding of the lid to the opening device, the compensating device being interposed between the supporting body and the welding element, the compensating device comprising a planar spring arrangement provided with at least one planar spring element having a first member and a second member mutually connected by deformable elements.
Method for controlled container headspace adjustment
A sealing and pressure dosing apparatus, and container filling method, including a capping machine (102) which receives containers (1). Closures (80) are applied to the containers (1) immediately following the raising of pressure within the containers (1) by a pressure dosing system in a pressure sealing chamber (84). Preferably a cooling system is integrated with the capping machine.
WINCH HANDLE OPERATED BOTTLE CLOSURES AND METHODS FOR USING
Novel closures for bottles comprising a bottle closure having a socket shaped and sized to receive the drive head of a convention winch handle and a closure means for securing the closure to the neck of the bottle to seal the bottle. Two such closures are described, one of for use with beer style bottle and another for rum or whiskey style bottles. The closures are particularly useful for bottled beverages brought aboard sailboats that use manual winches. The closures can be removed from the bottles using winch handles that are already aboard the sailboat, allowing the beverages to be consumed.

A device for assembling plastic objects including caps for coupling to base support at least partially counter-shaped to the cap. The device includes at least part of an assembly line defining assembly path and assembly plane including the assembly path and plurality of spindles moveable along the assembly path by an apparatus and configured to controlledly pick up the caps, the spindles position and push the caps onto the base supports along the assembly path; positioning apparatus including first and second detectors, controller with auxiliary control system to translate and rotate spindles along directions perpendicular to assembly path and plane and third encoder to detect spindle orientation relative to assembly path. First detector to detect first orientation, second detector to detect second orientation and controller to detect first orientation and second orientation by detectors and operate auxiliary control system to align base support and cap.

The present invention relates to a filler machine and method. The filler machine and method allow efficient and/or accurate filling of containers such as bottles, and have particular application to filling bottles or similar containers with carbonated beverages.
Unit for the application of lids of opening devices
An applying unit for applying lids of opening devices to spouts of packages comprises a plurality of applying devices arranged for applying the lids to the spouts, a plurality of transfer arrangements, each transfer arrangement supporting a corresponding applying device and being movable along a track arrangement, wherein the transfer arrangements are self-movable along the track arrangement and are movable independently from each other along the track arrangement.
MOTION TRANSMISSION GROUP FOR CAPPING HEADS FOR SCREW CAPS AND CAPPING MACHINE EQUIPPED WITH SUCH A MOTION TRANSMISSION GROUP
The present invention concerns a motion transmission group for capping heads for screw caps. This group comprises a device for applying in use a predefined axial load to means of axial engagement of the caps which a capping head associated in use with said group is provided with. The device comprises at least one axially pre-loaded compression spring so as to generate in use this predefined axial load. The device is separable from the main structure of the transmission group as a single body, with the aforesaid at least one spring maintained associated with a support structure of the device in pre-loaded condition by means of two axial positioning portions to allow the replacement of the device with a structurally similar device, but suitable to generate in use a different axial load.
ACTUATION UNIT FOR A CAPPING HEAD AND CAPPING HEAD USING IT
An actuation unit for a capping head for the application of caps on containers or bottles, as well as to a capping head using such a unit, are provided. The actuation unit for a capping head for the application of caps on containers or bottles comprises at least two actuators, of which a first actuator is adapted to impart a translational displacement along a closing axis and a second actuator is adapted to impart a rotational movement about the closing axis, each actuator of the at least two actuators causing the rotation of a first shaft and a second shaft, respectively, both arranged coaxial to the closing axis, and is characterized in that the shafts of the at least two actuators are placed side by side along the axis and are mutually connected by means of at least one rotation decoupling joint.
METHODS OF CAPPING METALLIC BOTTLES
Methods of sealing a metallic container are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods that reduce the amount of force applied to a metallic bottle to seal the metallic bottle with a ROPP closure. The methods include use of a capping apparatus that may include more thread rollers than known capping apparatus. Optionally, the thread rollers may use more forming passes to form threads on the ROPP closure. The capping apparatus may also rotate one or more of the ROPP closure and the metallic container in a closing direction before the metallic container is discharged. In one embodiment, the thread rollers form the closure threads before or after a pilfer roller applies a sideload to the ROPP closure.
