SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR DETECTING AND PREDICTING BOWLING LANE ERRORS
20250010170 · 2025-01-09 ·

A computer-implemented method, comprising obtaining, in real-time, video data of a video depicting at least a portion of a bowling pinsetter, detecting at least one of a bowling pin, a distributor, or a pin station in a video frame of the video, determining a class associated with the detected at least one bowling pin, distributor, or pin station, the class being one of a set of defined classes for identifying an error state of the bowling pinsetter, and in response to determining that the class is indicative of pinsetter error, activating a stopper component for temporarily pausing operation of the bowling pinsetter.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MASKING PINSETTERS OF BOWLING LANES
20250050197 · 2025-02-13 · ·

Systems and methods for masking pinsetters of a bowling center. The systems comprise a modular masking unit that comprises a first array of displays structurally supported by a support frame. The support frame is mounted to the ground so that the array of displays extends over a pair of bowling lanes and masks the pinsetters for the pair of bowling lanes. The displays are arranged such that they can be independently controlled to provide a plurality of small displays or collectively controlled to provide a single large multi-panel display. The support frame is height adjustable such that a distance between the array of displays and the ground is adjustable (e.g., so that the masking unit can fit in between or in conjunction with all types of pinsetters, bowling scoring systems, and/or other masking units).

AUGMENTED REALITY SIMULATION METHOD AND AR DEVICE

The present invention discloses an augmented reality simulation method and an AR device. The method is as follows. The AR device obtains a real-world scene and physical information associated with a target object in the real-world scene, and determines first operation information of the target object based on the physical information associated with the target object, where the first operation information indicates a physical operation to be performed on the target object; and the AR device generates an AR scene based on the real-world scene and the first operation information, where the AR scene includes the first operation information. In this case, the first operation information in the real-world scene can be more accurately described based on the AR scene. Therefore, a more realistic scene can be present, and a more realistic AR simulation method is provided.

The present disclosure relates to a string bowling machine and, more particularly, to a string bowling machine provided with a hybrid pin fall detection mechanism for detecting fallen pins after ball impact. The pin fall detection system includes: a vision system positioned to detect a fallen pin; and a machine pin-string sliding detection system to detect movement of individual strings attached to individual pins and which is used in tandem with the vision system to accurately determine which pins of the individual pins have fallen after a throw of a bowling ball.
