PIN FALL DETECTING SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a string bowling machine and, more particularly, to a string bowling machine provided with a hybrid pin fall detection mechanism for detecting fallen pins after ball impact. The pin fall detection system includes: a vision system positioned to detect a fallen pin; and a machine pin-string sliding detection system to detect movement of individual strings attached to individual pins and which is used in tandem with the vision system to accurately determine which pins of the individual pins have fallen after a throw of a bowling ball.
Robotic Pin Setter Device
A robotic pin setter device is disclosed. More specifically, the device is a robotic pin setter that performs all functions of typical pin setters for standard bowling operations on two lanes simultaneously. The device comprises a housing component with a plurality of robotic arms that act to reset all ten pins quickly on both lanes. The plurality of robotic arms are each attached to a base component secured within the housing component via a mechanical linkage or rotational center pin or any other suitable securing means as is known in the art. The housing component further comprises an object recognition device and a control unit.
