Dispensing Apparatus for Infusing Carbonated Beverage Liquid with Ingredients and Method Thereof
A dispensing apparatus is described having a beverage source, containing a carbonated beverage liquid, and a dispensing tap. The dispensing apparatus includes a dispense tube disposing the beverage source in fluid communication with the dispensing tap and an infusion chamber arranged in connection with the dispense tube and configured to infuse an infusing ingredient with the carbonated beverage liquid. The dispensing apparatus includes a sensing unit configured to determine a level of carbon-dioxide in the liquid downstream of the infusion chamber. The dispensing apparatus includes a carbon-dioxide source coupled to the dispense tube via a valve. The dispensing apparatus further includes a control unit configured to operate the valve to allow flow of carbon-dioxide gas based on the determined level of carbon-dioxide in the carbonated beverage liquid, so as to bring the level of carbon-dioxide to a pre-defined level.
Water Dispensing Apparatus Comprising a Modular and Removable Hot Water Expansion Tank, Systems and Methods of Using
Water dispensing apparatus comprises modular components including but not limited to an easily accessible water heating module and a water cooling module. The water dispensing apparatus further comprises a bracket for holding at least one of a valve and an expansion tank onto a hot water tank for easy removal of the same in case of repair or replacement. Moreover, the expansion tank comprises a check valve that opens to allow heated water to flow thereinto and closes after heated water has drained therefrom.
APPARATUS FOR DISPENSING A LIQUID FROM A LIQUID STORAGE CONTAINER
A removable liquid transport assembly configured to be readily installed in and removed from a liquid dispenser to permit the liquid dispenser to be readily sanitized. The removable liquid transport assembly preferably includes a liquid manifold, a valve assembly and a pump head. The removable liquid transport assembly is configured such that liquid can flow in a first direction through the removable liquid transport assembly to permit a liquid to be dispensed from a liquid dispenser and liquid can flow in a second direction back to a liquid storage container to prevent damage to one or more components of the liquid dispenser.
Refrigerator and control method thereof
Disclosed herein is a refrigerator and a control method thereof. The refrigerator includes a purified water tank to store water, a flow sensor to detect an amount of water supplied to the purified water tank, a purified water supply valve to open/close a purified water supply flow path to guide water stored in the purified water tank to the carbonated water tank, a carbonated water discharge valve to open/close a carbonated water discharge flow path to guide the carbonated water to the outside of the refrigerator, and a controller to detect a position where water leakage occurs by sequentially opening the purified water supply valve and the carbonated water discharge valve in a water leakage mode.
Beverage dispensing systems and methods
Various beverage preparation systems and methods are disclosed. The beverage preparation system can include a dispensing unit configured to receive beverage, such as a shot of espresso, from a beverage preparation machine. The dispensing unit can include a dispensing unit with a first end and a second end. The dispensing unit can be rotatable between an upright position and an inverted position. The dispensing unit can be configured to receive the beverage through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the upright position, and can be configured to receive cleansing fluid through the second end when the dispensing unit is in the inverted position. In some embodiments, when the dispensing unit is in an intermediate position between the upright and inverted positions, the dispensing unit is configured to dispense the beverage out of the first end and into a cup or other vessel.
Filtration and liquid level control system
A control system for delivering filtered liquid to a reservoir of a beverage machine. The liquid level within the reservoir is monitored, and when the liquid level is at or below a predetermined level, a valve opens to allow liquid to flow to the reservoir. Once the liquid level has reached or obtained a predetermined liquid fill level, the valve is closed.
Beverage dispenser and method for sanitation thereof
A method for sanitizing a beverage dispenser apparatus includes filling fluid in at least a hot beverage tank of a beverage dispensing apparatus, heating the fluid in the hot beverage tank to a predetermined temperature range, configuring the drain valve to a closed state, activating a primary sanitation cycle by causing the heated fluid from the hot beverage tank to flow through at least a first subset of components of the beverage dispenser apparatus and terminating the primary sanitation cycle when at least one predetermined condition is satisfied. A secondary sanitation cycle is activated by causing the heated fluid from the hot beverage tank to flow through at least a second subset of components of the beverage dispenser apparatus.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLEANING AND SANITIZING A DISPENSING INSTALLATION
The present invention relates to a cleaning and sanitizing system for a dispensing installation that uses a single pump to pull in non-caustic, non-abrasive, and non-corrosive cleaning solution, which in turn draws in ambient air. The mixture of air and liquid is discharged into a cylindrical flow controller that discharges a flow of alternating liquid cylinders and air cylinders. The air cylinders eliminate the boundary layer and laminar sublayer, which in turn allows the liquid cylinders to apply a maximum shear force associated with the hydrodynamic entry region consistently cleaning the length of the beverage or product line with mechanical cleaning and sanitizing action, which is subsequently carried away within the liquid cylinder.
Method and apparatus for dispensing one or more liquids from a liquid storage container
A method and dispensing apparatus for dispensing one or more liquids from a liquid storage container operably connected to the dispensing apparatus. The one or more liquids may include cold water, cold carbonated water, hot water and/or ambient temperature water. The dispensing apparatus preferably is a self-contained dispensing apparatus, i.e., a dispensing apparatus having its own source of liquid. The dispensing apparatus further preferably includes a housing storing a first cooled liquid reservoir and a second cooled liquid reservoir. The first cooled liquid reservoir preferably stores cold water and the second cooled liquid reservoir preferably stores cold carbonated water. A thermal link preferably connects the first cooled liquid reservoir and the second cooled liquid reservoir to cause thermal energy to be transferred between the first cooled liquid reservoir and the second cooled liquid reservoir.
