BEVERAGE MIXING BLOCK
20210220782 · 2021-07-22 ·

A mixing block for mixing components of a beverage prior to the mixture reaching the tap, for improving the consistency of the mixed beverage as it leaves the tap. The invention is particularly effective when one of the components tends to settle out during storage. In the mixing chamber, one stream goes straight through and the other impinges from the side, to cause enhanced mixing.

METHOD BY MEANS OF WHICH CAFFEINATED HOT BEVERAGES, PARTICULARLY COFFEE BEVERAGES, CAN BE PRODUCED BY AN APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A CAFFEINATED HOT BEVERAGE

A method for producing a hot beverage by an apparatus from water and a raw material in a brewing unit includes determining, by a measuring unit, an actual value of a physical material property and/or a physical variable dependent on the physical material property, and optionally a process property of the hot beverage, and comparing, with a control and/or regulating unit, the actual value and a set point value of the physical material property and/or the physical variable and optionally the process property. The control and/or regulating unit uses a data memory in which data records of set point values and/or set point value ranges are stored according to a temperature and/or a desired hot beverage type. If the actual value is outside the set point value range, a control and/or manipulated variable is adjusted by the control and/or regulating unit such that the physical material property of the hot beverage is influenced in a controlled or regulated manner.

Non-electric fountain beverage dispensers and systems

Non-electric fountain beverage dispensers for dispensing a variety of beverages without the use of electricity. The non-electric fountain beverage dispenser may include a gas container for storing a pressurized gas, a base liquid storage container for storing a base liquid, and a gas supply line that communicates pressurized gas from the gas container to the base liquid storage container and to a syrup storage container. Non-electric beverage dispenser further includes a mechanical dispensing valve in fluid communication with the base liquid storage container and the syrup storage container by means of a base liquid supply line and a syrup supply line, respectively, such that the mechanical dispensing valve is capable of selectively dispensing a mixture of the base liquid and the syrup. Non-electric fountain beverage dispenser further includes a non-electric cooling unit for cooling the base liquid without the use of electricity.

A system for determining a quality of a beverage can include a flow sensor for coupling with an outlet for waste from a beverage dispenser. The system can also include a controller coupled with the flow sensor for receiving an indication of the presence and/or absence of waste. The controller can be coupled with an actuation mechanism and configured to: receive an indication of an actuation of the actuation mechanism, determine a time associated with the actuation, calculate a volume associated with a stream of waste, determine a time associated with the stream of waste, and correlate a dump of a beverage to the actuation when the calculated volume associated with the stream of waste is greater than a volume threshold and when a difference in time between the time associated with the stream of waste and the time associated with the actuation is less than a time threshold.

APPARATUS FOR PREPARING AND DISPENSING A DILUTED BEVERAGE
20210009398 · 2021-01-14 ·

Apparatus for preparing and dispensing a diluted beverage has a mains water inlet, a valve for opening or shutting water flow, a food concentrate container, an outlet for the beverage, a user interface for commanding dispensing of the beverage, and a volumetric pump communicating with the valve outlet and the beverage outlet for drawing and mixing the food concentrate and water. A first conduit is connected to an outlet of the food concentrate container and the volumetric pump inlet. A second conduit communicating with the valve outlet and an intermediate portion of the first conduit. A control unit activates the valve and the volumetric pump. The second conduit has a section narrowing for regulating the outflow velocity of the water entering the first conduit. The control unit activates the volumetric pump to regulate the flow of food concentrate mixture and water in response to data from a water flow detector.
