LOW EXTRACTABLE HOSE

A hose includes a fluorothermoplastic or thermoplastic polyester elastomer tube layer, a nitrile rubber friction layer disposed over the tube layer, a reinforcement layer disposed over the friction layer, the reinforcement layer comprising braided steel wire, and a cover layer disposed over the reinforcing layer, where the cover layer may comprise chlorinated polyethylene. The tube layer defines a lumen in the hose, and a vapor return line is disposed within the lumen of the hose, where the vapor return line may be based upon thermoplastic polyester elastomer. Hose embodiments of the disclosure may be useful in fueling applications for vehicles using fuels such as gasoline, gasohol, diesel, biodiesel, avgas or jet fuel.

FILLING HOSE

A liquid dispenser filling hose for use in filling a liquid dispenser with liquid from a liquid reservoir via a pump, comprising: a distal coupler for coupling the filling hose to the liquid dispenser; and a controller arranged to control the pump. The liquid dispenser may be filled using a method comprising: providing a liquid reservoir, a pump and a controller arranged to control the pump, and a filling hose having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end of the filling hose being coupled to the liquid reservoir; coupling the distal end of the filling hose via a distal coupler to the liquid dispenser; and transferring liquid from the liquid reservoir via the filling hose to an airless liquid container forming part of the liquid dispenser. A system for filling a liquid dispenser, comprising: the liquid filling hose; and a liquid reservoir and/or liquid supply station is also described.

A refueling adapter configured for permitting a vehicle having a twist-lock coupling-style fuel receiver to be fueled from a fuel source having a dry-break coupling-style fuel dispenser. The refueling adapter having a body portion and a mating assembly. The body portion has a first end and second end. The first end of the body portion is configured for dry-break coupling with a fuel dispenser. The second end of the body portion is configured for rotatable engagement with the mating assembly. The mating assembly is configured for engagement with a twist-lock coupling-style fuel receiver.

Safety joint

A safety joint capable of preventing a moment generated by swinging of a filling hose from acting on the safety joint when a tensile force more or equal to a predetermined value is applied to the filling hose. The safety joint includes a plug with a cylindrical shape in which a passage is formed, a socket in which a passage continuing to the passage in the plug is formed, and a shut off valve mounted on the passage in the socket. The shut off valve opens when the plug is inserted into the socket and closes when the plug is disconnected therefrom. Central axes of the passages of the plug and the socket form a straight line. A filling hose is connected to the plug, and a hose guide for limiting movement of the filling hose at a position separated from the plug.
