The invention relates to a nozzle (13) for dispensing a fluid, comprising a manually operated control lever (15), which can be moved between a closed position and an open position in order to control the dispensing of the fluid. According to the invention, the control lever (15) comprises a latching pawl (23), which is designed to engage in a slotted guide (22) of the nozzle (13), the latching pawl (23) being designed to follow an opening movement of the control lever (15) in an opening direction (18) and a closing movement of the control lever (15) in a closing direction (18), the latching pawl (23) being able to be moved, by cooperation with the slotted guide (22), relative to the control lever (15) in a direction perpendicular to the opening and closing direction (18) into a catch position (25), in which the latching pawl (23) fixes the control lever (15) in the open position. Because of the interaction of the latching pawl (23) and the slotted guide (22), a locking device that is easy for the user to operate is created for the control lever by means of a simple design.

Devices and methods for heating fuel hoses and nozzles

Various exemplary devices and methods for heating fuel hoses and nozzles are provided. In general, the devices and methods for heating fuel hoses and nozzles can be configured to heat fluid dispensable by a user into a fuel tank or other type of container. In some embodiments, a fuel dispensing device can include a first passageway configured to pass fluid therethrough and can include a second passageway configured to pass heated air therethrough. The heated air passing through the second passageway can be configured to heat the fluid passing through the first passageway. In some embodiments, a fuel dispensing device can include a single hose configured to pass fluid and heated air through separate passageways therein, and the device can include a manifold configured to facilitate passage of the fluid and the heated air from separate sources into the single hose.

Fuel tank fill assembly

A fuel tank fill assembly includes a fuel fill tube adapted to be coupled to a fuel tank and configured to receive fuel discharged by a pump nozzle. The assembly includes a tube mounting bracket for mounting the fuel fill tube in a stationary position in a vehicle to conduct fuel to the fuel tank. A process for coating the tube mounting bracket is disclosed.

Anti-fracture expansion device

Methods are devices are provided for preventing fracture of a fluid-filled chamber or tank. In general an anti-fracture expansion device can be disposed internally within a fluid-filled chamber such that during a freeze event displaced fluid can compress or flow into the anti-fracture expansion device, thereby reducing the likelihood that the chamber will rupture. The internal disposition of the expansion device prevents it from interfering with other components that may be connected to or adjacent to the fluid chamber, thereby conserving space. In certain embodiments, the expansion device can have a dual function wherein it can act as a flow control valve in addition to functioning as an anti-fracture expansion device.

Fluid management system and fluid dispenser

A fluid management system includes a fluid management controller and a fluid dispenser. The controller authorizes control of the one or more fluid management components over a wireless interface. A dispensing meter can be activated by an authentication device. The fluid meter includes a cartridge valve with a valve cartridge and a valve stem. The cartridge valve guides the valve stem and provides the only sealing surface for the dynamic seals and control seal disposed on the valve stem. The handheld meter dispenses through a nozzle, which includes an overmolded stem tip that generates a laminar fluid flow as the fluid exits the nozzle. The handheld fluid meter includes circuitry configured to invert the orientation of a visual output provided by a display of the handheld fluid meter to facilitate installation of the handheld fluid meter for use in an oil bar application.
