An apparatus for upholstering a truss allows an operator to staple a fabric web to the truss, rotate the truss, further staple the semi-finished truss and cut the fabric web. The truss is fully upholstered after the end surfaces of the truss are wrapped up in fabric and the fabric stapled in place. The apparatus may accommodate different size trusses. A web of fabric is pulled around at least one roller in the apparatus by rotation of two vise mechanisms on opposite sides of the truss.

An upholstery system for forming a curved furniture surface includes two surfaces that form a corner, two planar elements that are each positioned on one of the two surfaces, and a plurality of contoured elements positioned between the two planar elements and along the corner. Each of the plurality of contoured elements includes a curved surface. The system also includes at least one piece of fabric that includes at least three sections, which are connected to each other in a series such that adjacent sections form a connection portion. The system further includes a plurality of clips positioned on each of the two surfaces. The at least three sections of the at least one piece of fabric are positioned over the planar elements and the plurality of contoured elements. The connected portion of adjacent sections of the at least one piece of fabric is connected to the plurality of clips.

A seat (1) comprises: a seat member (3(2)) that includes a cushioning material (4); and a fastening member (5) that allows a trim cover (7) to be detachably attached to a predetermined position on the seat member (3). The fastening member (5) is constituted by a slide fastener that includes: a fastener part (51) constituted by one fastener half (511) and another fastener half (512); and a slider part. At least part of a base part (6) provided in the one fastener half (511) is embedded in the cushioning material (4), and part of the other fastener half (512) is fixed to the trim cover (7).

Seat

A seat (1) comprises: a seat member (3(2)) that includes a cushioning material (4); and a fastening member (5) that allows a trim cover (7) to be detachably attached to a predetermined position on the seat member (3). The fastening member (5) is constituted by a slide fastener that includes: a fastener part (51) constituted by one fastener half (511) and another fastener half (512); and a slider part. At least part of a base part (6) provided in the one fastener half (511) is embedded in the cushioning material (4), and part of the other fastener half (512) is fixed to the trim cover (7).
