A card game is played against a pay table, wherein a player receives a partial hand that is preferably completed by community cards, but may be completed by cards dealt directly to a hand or a combination of cards dealt directly to a hand and at least one community card or wild card. After placement of an ante wager, each player will have an opportunity to place a game wager before receiving another card for the player's hand (whether dealt directly to the player or as a community card revealed to all players). At least some or all game wagers may be an amount within a range of multiples of the player's ante wager, such as one times, two times, three times, four times, or five times the amount of the ante wager. The range of wagers may remain the same or vary with the number of dealt cards or community cards revealed to the players.

A method for playing a community card poker card game includes allowing the participants to either fold or place a first bet. The first bet is resolved based on a final card hand associated with the participant, and the combination of first bets comprises a main pot. After first ones of the community cards are revealed, the participants that folded are allowed to either continue to fold or to place a second bet. The second best is resolved based on a final card hand associated with the participant, and the combination of second bets comprises an auxiliary pot. Thereafter, the remaining community cards are revealed, and the main pot is resolved according to a rank of final card hands for those participants that made the first bet. Thereafter, the auxiliary pot is resolved according to a rank of final card hands for those participants that made the second bet.

A method for playing a hold 'em card game with two hands provides a variant to a standard hold 'em card game by dealing four hole cards to a player, with each set of hole cards being independently played, bet, raised, or folded in relation to the same community cards. An initial round of wagering occurs, followed by dealing four hole cards to each player. The hole cards are played independently of each other. There is another round of betting, before a turn and a river are also dealt. If the dealer's best of five hands exceeds a poker hand ranking of the player's, the player forfeits the wager. If the player's best of five hands exceeds the dealer's, the player receives an equal amount of units to the wager.

An electronic device or entertainment gaming machine comprising: at least one betting terminal having a software program or plurality of software programs that allow at least a second player to place a bet on a jackpot if a first player declines the right to place a bet on the jackpot, wherein the second player is at a betting terminal that is apart from the conventional casino table game and the first player is playing at a conventional casino table game and is granted a right of first refusal to place a bet on jackpot by virtue of the first player's bet on the conventional casino table game, wherein the outcome of the jackpot is determined according to a combination of cards or dice in the conventional casino table game.
