Chess clock with QR code scanner and methods of use thereof
A programmable digital chess clock is provided that includes a QR code, other 2D barcode, and/or 1D barcode reader for reading a QR code, other 2D barcode, and/or 1D barcode that encodes instructions for programming and setting the digital chess clock. In some embodiments, the digital chess clock includes a microcontroller operatively arranged to program and set the digital chess clock, wherein the QR code, other 2D barcode, and/or 1D barcode reader is operatively arranged to read the QR code, other 2D barcode, and/or 1D barcode and send a signal to the microcontroller to program and set the digital chess clock.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A BOARD GAME
A game apparatus including a plurality of first and second player game pieces, each having a first portion that is a chess piece, such that the plurality of first and second player game pieces include all the pieces for a first and second player, respectively for a game of chess. Each of the plurality of first and second player game pieces has a second portion fixed to a corresponding first portion. Each second portion has a recess so that a cube can be inserted into the recess so the cube cannot be seen from a front of the second portion. The game apparatus may further include a base; a grid; and a first and/or second plurality of insert pieces. The grid and the base form a chessboard pattern of a plurality of grid spaces. Each of the insert pieces fits within a space of the plurality of grid spaces.
Apparatus for Determining a Straight Line Segment Between the Center of Multiple Two Dimensional Objects or Areas.
One embodiment is made up of an outer casing with internal mechanisms that allow for a cable to be housed inside of it and pulled out upon operation. The retractable element of this embodiment keeps tension on the cable. This cable is pulled through the center of two separate three dimensional objects and is tethered to the side farthest from which the above embodiment rests. There are vertical penetrating holes in the center of each three dimensional object that allow the cable to pass through freely. The holes are strategically placed in the center of each three dimensional object.
Gameplay with interactive user-manipulatable components
A gameplay system including user-manipulable components includes a gameplay surface having a rectangular shape, a plurality of tiles configured to be arranged on the gameplay surface, a tile bag configured to hold a first subset of the plurality of tiles, and a plurality of racks configured to hold a second subset of the plurality of tiles. Each tile of the plurality of tiles includes an indicator imprinted thereon representing an alphabetic letter. The first and second subsets of the plurality of tiles are configured to be arranged as a third subset of the plurality of tiles.
Interactive Object-Tactile Searching Board Game Kit
The present invention is a board game kit designed for an interactive object-tactile searching and trading game. The kit comprises a storage box with an opaque housing and an aperture that enables players to reach inside and retrieve objects without looking at the objects. A plurality of object cards depict stored objects, which guide players to locate the objects through touch or tactile signals. Players utilize slotted category boards for securing retrieved objects. A plurality of coins function as in-game currency, enabling players to earn rewards and engage in negotiation-based trading to acquire needed objects. The game is played by drawing an object card, searching for the corresponding object within the box, placing successfully found objects onto a player's board, earning coins, and trading objects to complete a category board. The winner is determined as the first player to collect all required objects and accumulate a predetermined number of coins.
Gamecard holder and organizer
A gamecard holder comprising a bottom surface, a back surface, opposing sides, and a front viewing portion that collectively form an elevated holder that is operable to be placed on any table or comparable surface. The front viewing portion includes a plurality of slots operable to hold various pull-tabs or game cards. The front viewing portion faces the player and is configured such that the height along the front viewing portion increases towards the back surface of the holder such that the pull-tabs, when placed in the slots, are viewable to the player. Optionally, the holder may include a retractable stand operable to transition the holder from a raised position ideal for playing games to a closed position for storing. As an additional option, the holder may include a support assembly for holding a portable electronic device as well as a power source and charging station.
Reconfigurable board game system
A reconfigurable boardgame system herein comprises a reconfigurable boardgame board (e.g., four panel tri-fold) with a plurality of page-retaining corner members in corners of board panels, allowing interchanging customized boardgame pages. In one embodiment, only those corners of each panel that are exteriorly located on the board have corresponding corner members (leaving the center unobstructed). In another embodiment, the boardgame board is contained within a reconfigurable boardgame kit, which may comprise reusable (e.g., generic and shared) game pieces (dice, timers, pawns, etc.) for use by many games. In still another embodiment, the boardgame kit comprises blank and/or templated items to be filled in, such as boardgame panels, cards, customized dice, game pawn blanks, rules templates, etc. Envelopes may store the game panel pages, rules, and custom pieces of each individual boardgame, to be stored in the kit and used with the reconfigurable boardgame board and the generic reusable game pieces.
Adaptive checker game piece with gripping leaf
An adaptive checker piece for facilitating gripping and manipulation of the checker piece comprising a round main body and a gripping leaf extending therefrom. The gripping leaf forms a segment of a cone spanning an angular range , and the gripping leaf is angled outwardly relative to a central axis of the main body at an angle . A round upper platform projects concentrically from the main body but with a smaller diameter whereby an upper raceway is formed. The gripping leaf projects from the main body from a position laterally outward of the upper raceway. A lower toroid projects concentrically from a lower portion of the main body and is sized to receive an upper platform of a second adaptive checker piece in an interference fit. Multiple checker pieces can be stacked to make king pieces and for storage despite the presence of the gripping leaf.
