Crossword and Anagram Game and Method of Playing Such a Game
A method of playing a combination crossword and anagram game is disclosed. By manipulating movable tabular letter tiles or their digital, electronic or other equivalents, players take turns building a single free-form grid of intersecting words, crossword style, on any suitable surface. Each letter in each new word is worth one point, so game play favors long words. There is no game board, so the grid can grow in any direction, without constraint. Words are not locked in place, so they can be relocated at will to a different part of the grid in order to make room for the placement of new words. Furthermore, any individual word in the grid can be changed into another word by the addition and/or subtraction of letters, or even detached from the grid so that its letters can be used to create a new word. The game encourages and rewards anagrams.
Sudoku-based puzzles
A sudoku-style game for use by a human player includes a game board surface presented to the player which has a plurality of PQ sub-matrices of cells, each of the cells being divided into a first section and a second section, each section of each cell having sufficient space to contain a visually perceivable indicator, wherein P represents the number of rows in each sub-matrix, and Q represents the number of columns in each sub-matrix, a master matrix having the plurality of PQ sub-matrices coupled one PQ sub-matrix to another PQ sub-matrix to form a desired game board shape, a solution to the game being the completion of the master matrix by the player so that no indicator is repeated more than a respective instructed number of times in each row and column.
GAME
A modified version of the game of chess is described. A player may replace one more regular-move pieces with replacement pieces having different move limitations. Two dice are rolled whenever a player is captured. Based on what is rolled, the sequence of regular-moves can be modified by either the player rolling dice or the player not rolling the dice. The player modifying the sequence may, based on the roll, move their own piece or an opponent's piece.
Method and system for an interactive player board game
An interactive group-specific player board game method comprising the steps of drawing a grid and labeling a plurality of blocks in a sequential process from 1 to n, wherein n depends on the size of the grid, rolling a dice by each player sequentially and recording a number on the dice until each box on the grid has a unique number, establishing a set of at least 6 rules by the group-specific players, each rule corresponding to a unique action to be performed by the players, rolling the dice by at least one player, moving the number of blocks on the board game corresponding to the number on the dice, receiving the action to be performed by the player based on the unique number on the grid established by the set of rules, determining the completion of the action by the remaining group-specific players.
Word Game and Method of Play
A word game apparatus and method of play involving each player being represented by a set of square tiles of uniform color having various indicia imprinted thereon. Players in turn play these tiles to a game board having a grid pattern of squares. One color is declared the winner when a path of contiguous tiles of that color is formed between two end zones in accordance with the rules of the game. In some embodiments the game components are rendered using physical objects, and in other embodiments the game is implemented on computers with the game components appearing as images on electronic displays.
CUSTOM GAME BOARDS
A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for providing custom features in a game is provided. A themed game board associated with a first set of rules of a computer-implemented game is generated. The first set of rules relates to a theme of the themed game board and is different than a second set of rules associated with a game board without a theme. Game board display data is provided to a first client device of a first player to display the themed game board. A move on the themed game board is received from the first client device, and a score associated with the move is generated. The score is based on the first set of rules relating to the theme, where the score is different than a score associated with the move on the game board without a theme.
Board Game Using Indicator Cube Having Hierarchical Symbols
A board game is described that is playable with a game board, game pieces, and one or more indicator cubes configured with three hierarchical symbols. An example method for playing the game may include players taking turns as attackers and defenders where an attacker rolls an indicator cube to indicate a hierarchical symbol used to determine a direction of movement of an attacker game piece. A defender rolls an indicator cube to indicate a hierarchical symbol that determines a hierarchical strength of a defender game piece when the attacker game piece is within a specified proximity of the defender game piece. And the attacker rolls an indicator cube to indicate a hierarchical symbol that determines a hierarchical strength of the attacker game piece. The defender game piece is captured when the hierarchical strength of the attacker game piece is stronger than the hierarchical strength of the defender game piece.
Comment display-capable game system, comment display control method and storage medium
A game system is provided that implements comment display so as not to interfere with operation when a player operates the game. This game system includes a game machine upon which a player plays a game. At least one comment which is to be displayed according to the circumstances of the game on the game machine are displayed to the player upon a game screen. A determination is made as to whether or not the player is being requested to perform an operation in the game, and a predetermined limitation is imposed upon the display of the at least one comment on the basis of the result of this determination.
System and method for controlling technical processes
In a method and a system for improving a user's experience with a graphical user interface corresponding to a gaming or simulation environment on an electronic device, the interface renders multiple graphical objects and user selectable options corresponding to the graphical object. The user selects one or more selectable option, and performs a touching or a swiping operation through multiple points on the display screen. The touching or swiping operation leads to deploying of multiple resources corresponding to the selected option, at different locations on the interface. For controlling the different deployed resources, the user can swipe through different regions of the display screen. The number of resources deployed at the different locations on the screen depends on certain parameters, including the pressure applied by the user on the screen. Results of the simulation can be employed to control real technical systems, for example for food production.
