Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses and methods for implementing a card game on a gaming device. Here, gaming devices having a display and game processor may be operable to provide a gaming event using cards with gridded fields. In one type of gaming event, a player may be given one or more cards with a gridded field and compete against one or more other opponents each having one or more competing cards with gridded fields. In another type of gaming event, a player may be given one or more cards with gridded fields and try to match numbers or indicia that are randomly drawn. Play of the gaming event may continue in multiple rounds or stages where a next stage is reached by obtaining a continuation trigger on one or more of the player cards during a present round of the gaming event.

Provided herein are systems methods and devices. Systems disclosed herein include a processor circuit and a memory including machine-readable instructions. When executed by the processor circuit, the machine-readable instructions cause the processor circuit to: provide a lottery game ticket that includes data corresponding to a primary game, receive a registration of the lottery game ticket corresponding to a chance game that includes an outcome that is based on an external event, determine, based on an outcome of the external event, a chance game characteristic to be applied to an entry for the chance game that corresponds to the lottery game ticket, and use the chance game characteristic to determine whether to provide a chance game award to a user.

A gamecard holder comprising a bottom surface, a back surface, opposing sides, and a front viewing portion that collectively form an elevated holder that is operable to be placed on any table or comparable surface. The front viewing portion includes a plurality of slots operable to hold various pull-tabs or game cards. An instant lottery ticket game system and method includes a set of scratch-off lottery ticket blanks, each lottery ticket blank having a composition area and a separate game play area with play indicia that presents a pre-determined game outcome, the play indicia covered by a scratch-off coating (SOC). The set of lottery ticket blanks are housed within an automated dispenser. An interface is configured with the dispenser and is in communication with the printer, the interface configured to accept player input of personalized indicia for printing in the composition area. A printer is operably configured with the dispenser and is in communication with the interface via a controller. The printer prints the personalized indicia from the player in the composition area to generate a finished scratch-off lottery ticket prior to dispensing of the finished lottery ticket from the dispenser.

An instant lottery ticket game system includes a set of scratch-off lottery ticket blanks, each lottery ticket blank having a front face and a back face and a game play area on the front face with play indicia that presents a pre-determined game outcome, the play indicia covered by a scratch-off coating (SOC). A coating layer is applied over at least the game play area such that an entirety of the front face presents an empty composition area void of lottery ticket indicia. The set of lottery ticket blanks are housed within an automated dispenser. An interface is configured with the dispenser and is in communication with a printer associated with the dispenser and accepts input of composition indicia from a patron for printing on portions of or the entirety of the front face to generate a finished scratch-off lottery ticket prior to dispensing the finished lottery ticket.
