STABLE AQUEOUS COMPOSITIONS OF PLANTS EXTRACTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Provided is a process of stabilizing active ingredients of plant materials in an aqueous suspension, the process including: extracting one or more active ingredients of a plant material using an extraction solvent, wherein the extraction of the one or more active ingredients of the plant materials comprises: transferring the plant material into a temperature-controlled reactor; adding the extraction solvent to the temperature-controlled reactor, thereby producing an eluant from the plant material; incubating the eluant at a first selected temperature for a pre-determined duration of time; and running the eluent through a filtration process to obtain an extractant solution filtrate and a separated solid plan material product; encapsulating the one or more active ingredients in one or more nanoparticles; and dispersing the one or more nanoparticles in an aqueous suspension.
Systems and methods for extraction of biomass materials
Some variations provide a system for extracting a product from biomass, comprising: a process chamber having an internal volume; one or more mechanical elements configured to controllably and reversibly mechanically seal the process chamber and reduce the internal volume to mechanically compress the biomass; a fluid port in flow communication with the process chamber; and a collection sub-system in flow communication with the fluid port. Other variations provide a method of extracting a product from biomass, the method comprising: introducing biomass into a process chamber; mechanically sealing the process chamber; mechanically compressing the biomass to release a first fluid material; mechanically decompressing the biomass; introducing an extraction solvent into the process chamber; maintaining process-chamber pressure from about 1 bar to about 1000 bar, wherein the extraction solvent extracts a second fluid material; and recovering the second fluid material from the process chamber. High processing throughput is enabled with this invention.
STABLE FORMULATIONS OF PLANTS EXTRACTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Provided is a process including: extracting a first plurality of active ingredients of a first plant material using a first extraction solvent; extracting a second plurality of active ingredients of a second plant material using a second extraction solvent; transferring the first plurality of active ingredients from the first extractant solution filtrate to a carrier solvent; encapsulating the first plurality of active ingredients in one or more nanoparticles; dispersing the one or more nanoparticles in an aqueous suspension; and adding the second eluant from the second plant material to the aqueous suspension.
CARNOSIC ACID, CARNOSOL AND ROSMARINIC ACID ISOLATION METHOD
The invention relates to a method of separation by fractionalization of the antioxidant active ingredients of Rosemary plant, which are the diterpenes Carnosic acid and Camosol and the phenolic acid Rosmarinic Acid, through column chromatography method. The production process involves the passage of rosemary extract, which is obtained in/with a proper solvent, through a column packed with a suitable packing material, the separation of the part rich in carnosic acid and carnosol, and the obtainment of a deodorized product in powder form after drying. During the process, another extract containing rosmarinic acid with high antioxidant activity is also obtained. The invention thus allows the use of an extract rich in carnosic acid and carnosol and another extract containing rosmarinic acid—which are obtained at once with no need for additional processes like acidification, precipitation, membrane filtration or deodorization—in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sector applications.
PLANT OIL EXTRACTION DEVICE
A plant oil extraction device includes one or modules for extraction of a product, e.g., oil, from a plant biomass. Various embodiments of the plant oil extraction device are described that include one or more features for producing a clean organic stream, free from waxes and terpenes, from biomass feedstocks such as industrial hemp. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
ULTRASONIC EXTRACTION EQUIPMENT
An ultrasonic extraction equipment includes a solution tank and a plurality of ultrasonic transducers. The ultrasonic transducers are disposed on an outer surface of the solution tank. The ultrasonic transducers include a central ultrasonic transducer and a plurality of peripheral ultrasonic transducers arranged to surround the central ultrasonic transducer.
METHODS FOR EXTRACTING TARGET COMPOUNDS FROM CANNABIS
Botanical materials are treated by processes utilizing a solvent system that includes the use of acetone solvent with or without a CO.sub.2 co-solvent wherein the solvent system is allowed to process the botanical material under certain conditions to obtain extracts (including Whole Plant Extracts) of the botanical materials that are substantially free of pigments, waxes, fats, lipids, and the like.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING A TOTAL EXTRACT OR A FILTRATE ENABLING THE STABILIZATION OF FRESH PLANT MATTER
A process for preparing a total extract which is a mixture of a fresh plant matter with a fatty matter includes a. contacting the fresh plant matter which comprises at least 10% of water by weight relative to its total weight before or after desiccation loss, with the fatty matter chosen from hydrogenated oil or fat at a temperature between 50° C. and 180° C.; b. grinding the plant matter-fatty matter mixture at said temperature between 50° C. to 180° C.; and c. recovering a total extract that is solid or liquid at ambient temperature with a concentration of less than or equal to 4% of water by weight relative to the total weight of the total extract. Extracts recovered from such process and treatments using the extracts are also disclosed.
Process for the extraction of cannabinoids from cannabis using lipids as an extraction solvent
Processes are described herein for the extraction of cannabinoids from cannabis using lipids as an extraction solvent.
System and method for extracting oil from plant materials
A plant oil extraction system may include a reservoir tank, an agitator tank, a boiler tank, a condenser unit, and a vacuum chamber. The reservoir tank may hold a solvent to be used in the system process. The solvent may be deposited into the reservoir tank through a fill port. A pump may transfers the solvent from the reservoir tank to the agitator tank. The agitator tank may hold dry plant matter. The agitator tank may separate oil from the plant matter by use of solvent where the mixture of solvent and plant oil drains to the boiler tank. The boiler tank comprise of a tank stack (condenser) used for separating extracted plant oil from the solvent by boiling off the solvent and a vacuum chamber used to extract residual solvent from the oil.
