The invention refers to a distillation apparatus (100) for extraction of volatile components from biological material (50), especially from plants, comprising a housing (10) defining a sample chamber (S), a drum (30) arranged in the sample chamber (S), the drum (30) defining a receiving chamber (R) for receiving the biological material (50), and at least one microwave generator (70) for irradiating the biological material (50) with microwave radiation when received in the drum (30); wherein the drum (30) is rotatably arranged in the sample chamber (S) about a rotation axis (H) which is oriented substantially horizontally.
Systems and Methods for Fluid Distillation
Systems and methods provide distillation systems and associated distillation methods. A distillation system can include a distillation chamber for distilling a biomass. A heat source can be applied to the distillation chamber to heat the biomass. A source of vacuum can be applied to the distillation chamber to remove a solvent from the distillation chamber. A magnetically driven spinner apparatus can be positioned within the distillation chamber and including at least a first paddle for generating a splash agitation of the biomass in the distillation chamber, wherein the magnetically driven spinner apparatus does not extend through any wall of the distillation chamber. A drive assembly can include a motor to cause rotational movement of the magnetically driven spinner apparatus within the distillation chamber.
Essential Oil Extractor
Embodiments of the inventive technology may be described as a plant biomass extraction apparatus for production of liquid extract from plant biomass, using carbon dioxide, including one or more of: carbon dioxide chiller, extraction chamber, extract collection chamber, at least one valve, and fluid conveyance componentry, configured to define a closed loop for passive, pump-free extract production. Certain embodiments may avoid saturation of the extractant, and the resultant compromise of process effectiveness that may be seen in those apparatus relying on mechanical pump(s) for flow and/or may present a tabletop, closed loop liquid carbon dioxide extraction apparatus for the production of an extract from plant biomass or other matrix.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CANNABIS CBD EXTRACTION
Systems and methods for extracting a compound of interest from plant material, such as a cannabidiol (CBD) from cannabis, are provided. Particularly, the disclosed systems and methods utilize a crude oil to separate water and impurities including fats, sugars, resin glues, chlorophyll, and proteins prior to preparation of a CBD distillate. The systems and methods are operable to remove the impurities from the crude oil with a brine solution and at least one acid prior to distillation. The systems and methods are operable with conventional solvents containing between about 5 wt % and about 8 wt % water.
Production process of soybean meal with high content of soluble proteins and product so obtained
A process for the production of soybean meal with a high content of soluble proteins in which a soybean meal with a content of soluble proteins in KOH in the range of 60 to 75% is reached, in which the soluble sugars are first removed from the soybean meal for extraction with aqueous ethanol solution and then the oil by extraction with hexane, without intermediate desolventization and in a single integrated industrial unit; an SPC soybean meal having 58-62% of a crude protein content; and 60-70% of soluble proteins in KOH.
STABLE AQUEOUS COMPOSITIONS OF PLANTS EXTRACTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Provided is a process of stabilizing active ingredients of plant materials in an aqueous suspension, the process including: extracting one or more active ingredients of a plant material using an extraction solvent, wherein the extraction of the one or more active ingredients of the plant materials comprises: transferring the plant material into a temperature-controlled reactor; adding the extraction solvent to the temperature-controlled reactor, thereby producing an eluant from the plant material; incubating the eluant at a first selected temperature for a pre-determined duration of time; and running the eluent through a filtration process to obtain an extractant solution filtrate and a separated solid plan material product; encapsulating the one or more active ingredients in one or more nanoparticles; and dispersing the one or more nanoparticles in an aqueous suspension.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING HEMP EXTRACTS AND COMPOSITIONS
A method for producing full spectrum hemp extract comprising extracting substances from cannabis-based green material that are soluble in an extraction solvent and collecting an extract that includes the extraction solvent distilling at least a portion of the extraction solvent which results in a concentrate that is not distilled off, removing at least a portion of water soluble substances from the concentrate by partitioning the at least a portion of water soluble substances into an aqueous phase and a remainder of substances from the concentrate into a partitioned concentrate, heating the partitioned concentrate to evaporate the nonpolar solvent and to yield a crude oil, degassing the crude oil by heating it which results in a degassed crude oil, performing a first pass distillation at about 150° C. and collecting a first residue, performing a second and third pass distillation at about 170° C. and about 185° C., and collecting a distillate from same.
EXTRACTION APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF
An apparatus for extracting essential oils and oleoresins from a plant material is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a circulation pump, a discharging pump, an extraction module, a reservoir, a first evaporator, and a first condenser. The discharge pump is fluidly connected to the circulation pump. The extraction module includes at least one extraction vessel. The reservoir is configured to store a solvent containing a C1 to C4 fluorinated hydrocarbon. In a short loop circulation mode the discharge pump pumps a solution comprising the solvent and one or more active components of the plant material dissolved therein from the bottom of the at least one extraction vessel, passing through the circulation pump, and then back to the top of the at least one extraction vessel.
