Skimmer and oil water separator
20170217795 · 2017-08-03 ·

A skimmer for removing a layer of oil floating on a surface oil contaminated water which subsequently concentrated and separated in an oil water separator which removes tramp oils or other fluids, such as hydraulic oils, with specific gravity less than that of the operating fluid are required to be removed from operating fluid such as water, lubri-coolants or other liquids. The skimmer supplies concentrated oil water composite fluid to a separator apparatus designed for use in industrial applications in which unwanted tramp oils or other fluids, such as hydraulic oils, with specific gravity less than that of the operating fluid are required to be removed from operating fluid such as water, lubri-coolants or other liquids.

Indoor grease trap with multiple plumber fitting possibilities

An apparatus for separating FOG from grey water in an effluent includes a housing having a first end having two plumbing fittings and a second end having one plumbing fitting. A baffle mounted inside the housing at the second end forms a barrier to flow of liquid toward the plumbing fitting on the second end above a certain height, and allows the flow of liquid past the barrier toward the plumbing fitting on the second end below the certain height. A conduit allows flow of liquid from past the baffle to one of the plumbing fittings on the first end. A plug closes one of the three plumbing fittings, and leaves the other two plumbing fittings available for connection to plumbing from a source of effluent and an outlet for grey water, respectively.

A removal device for removing gas bubbles and/or dirt particles from a liquid in a liquid conduit system includes a housing having an entry and an exit and, a main ongoing flow channel which extends through the housing from the entry to the exit, a plurality of branch flow channels, each branch flow channel branching off from the main flow channel at a branch point, at least one quiet zone which is provided at the ends of the branch flow channels, at least one return flow channel for a return flow from the at least one quiet zone back to the main flow channel, where the return flow channel merges with the main flow channel at a merge point, and where the branch flow channels are defined by plates which are curved.

Separation vessel with enhanced particulate removal

A separation tank for crude oil. Fluid enters an inlet section of a center column of the tank via an offset inlet pipe so the fluid enters swirling. Solids that settle in the inlet section are removed by a center column drain and a solids removal system. Free gas rises and exits from the top of the tank. Liquid flows out of the center column via a diffuser that spirals the fluid evenly toward the wall of the tank where oil coalesces and wicks upward. Liquid flows downward around two flow diverting baffles where more oil coalesces and wicks upward via an oil conduit into the oil layer. The water flows under the lower flow diverting baffle and exits the tank through the outlet section. A large circular oil collector weir uniformly removes oil from the oil layer. Interface draw offs located below the oil-water interface remove excess BS&W.

SYSTEMS FOR PETROLEUM WASTEWATER TREATMENT INCLUDING REMOVABLE COALESCER COMPONENTS AND RELATED METHODS
20170260071 · 2017-09-14 ·

Apparatus for removing suspended impurities from a liquid (e.g., wastewater), methods of use, and systems including such apparatus. In an embodiment, an apparatus may include a vessel defining a chamber for receiving gas induced liquid influent through an inlet, the influent including suspended impurities. A riser tube may be provided within the vessel, in fluid communication with the inlet so that liquid influent introduced into the vessel through the inlet is introduced into the riser tube. One or more coalescing members may be disposed within the riser tube. The coalescing members may be sufficiently small to be easily removable by hand, without requiring a crane. The coalescing members may be freely disposed within the riser tube, rotatable within the flow of the liquid influent, aiding the coalescing members in exhibiting some degree of “self-cleaning”, so as to be less prone to fouling and clogging.

WATER REUSE SYSTEM FOR PHYSICAL AND MICROBIOLOGICAL DECONTAMINATION OF WATER

Provided are systems and methods to effect separation of solids from fluid runoff from poultry and produce treatment trains. The systems include separation panels that operate using the Coanda effect so as to effect separation of solids without the need for electricity or moving parts.

Systems and methods for optimizing the performance of olefin plant quench water separators

Systems and methods of removing coke/tar from water in a quench water recycling loop of a steam cracker quench system are disclosed. The systems include a quench water separator that has a feed calming compartment for reducing eddies in feed to the quench water separator. The feed calming compartment is defined, at least in part, by a perforated baffle in the quench water separator. The methods include the use of the quench water separator with the perforated baffle and the calming compartment to separate coke/tar from quench water in the quench water recycling loop.

LIQUID PROCESSING APPARATUS AND LIQUID PROCESSING METHOD

Provided is a liquid processing apparatus and a liquid processing method for reducing a waste amount of a high specific gravity liquid. The liquid processing apparatus includes: a supply pump; a bubble tank including an inflow port, an overflow port, and a return port; a microbubble generator disposed outside the bubble tank; a recovery tank having a recovery port to recover the processing liquid overflown from a first liquid level to the tank; a separation tank including a settling tank connected to the overflow port, and a floating tank connected to the settling tank at a lower portion, and an ejector having a inlet port connected to the supply pump, a suction port connected the suction body, and a discharge port connected to the return port.

VOLUME CONTROLLED HYDRODYNAMIC SEPARATOR FOR STORMWATER TREATMENT

A method, system, and apparatus directed to an innovative approach for the treatment of stormwater utilizing hydrodynamic separator assembly designed to maximize flow movement for more efficient sediment removal and maximize clearance space within assembly to facilitate cleaning and increase storage capacity of trash, debris, and sediment. In particular, the described hydrodynamic separator is an improvement over other hydrodynamic separators known in the art with the inclusion of one or more down pipes which siphon water from the lower portion of the sump chamber. The inclusion of down pipes allows for an improved control of the velocity of the water flow through the device by distributing flow into more than one path.

Oil and grit separator system with twin vortex
20210387112 · 2021-12-16 ·

An oil and grit separator system having twin vortex which uses gravity providing a twin vortex effect to remove sediment and oil from contaminated water. The system is designed to control storm water runoff and reduce the annual suspended solids loading of the granulometric particles. The conception and configuration of the system has a double action vortex. It ensures an optimal treatment level in either light or heavy rain and avoids re-suspension of particles. It also removes, separates and stores floating oil without any possible re-suspension of the matter.
