The feedwell includes a plenum defining a plenum chamber external to the separation chamber, an upward-facing deflector surface in the plenum chamber, an inlet for discharging influent fluid onto a receiving region of the deflector surface, and an outlet for discharging the influent fluid out of the plenum and transversely into the separation chamber. The feedwell also includes parallel fins. The fins define between them plenum passages that extend from a fin end to outlet. The fin ends are disposed between the outlet and the receiving region, and are arranged in a horizontal semi-elliptical path defining a center that horizontally coincides with the receiving region.
Magnetic Microfluidic Concentrator, Intelligent Magnetic Microfluidic Concentrator, and Complete Set of Beneficiation Equipment Using the Same
An intelligent magnetic microfluidic concentrator employs a technique of feeding ores circumferentially and allowing tailings to overflow centrally upward. The intelligent magnetic microfluidic concentrator comprises a sorting system consisting of an ore feeding chute, an overflow chute, an overflow tank, a sorting tank, and a magnetic system, the overflow tank is disposed at an upper portion of the sorting tank, the ore feeding chute is disposed at the top of the overflow tank, the ore feeding chute feeds an ore slurry to the upper portion of the sorting tank circumferentially along an inner wall of the sorting tank, and the tailings overflow out upward from the overflow tank disposed centrally and located at the upper half portion of the sorting tank. A magnetic microfluidic concentrator and a complete set of beneficiation equipment are also provided.
High-rate sedimentation tank and water treatment apparatus including the same
A high-rate sedimentation tank includes a hopper configured to be supplied with raw water including floc, at least one circular orifice pipe disposed at a lower portion of the hopper and configured to have the floc deposited therein as a sludge while passing the floc included in the raw water therethrough, and a sludge outlet configured to discharge the sludge deposited by passing through the circular orifice pipe to an outside of the hopper.
PARTICLE SETTLING DEVICES
Settling devices for separating particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields. The particle settling devices include a first stack of cones with a small opening oriented upwardly or downwardly. Optionally, the settling devices may include a second stack of cones with a small opening oriented downwardly or upwardly. The cones may be concave or convex. These devices are useful for separating small (millimeter or micron sized) particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields, such as biological (microbial, mammalian, plant, insect or algal) cell cultures, solid catalyst particle separation from a liquid or gas and waste water treatment.
Feedwell for an inclined plate separator
A feedwell is provided for an inclined plate separator having a separation chamber containing parallel plates defining separation passages.
Clarifier For Water Treatment
The present invention is directed to a clarifier for water treatment including a plurality of planar inclined sheets including a flexible polymeric material. Each sheet includes a hydrophobic surface. The present invention is also directed to a clarifier that includes at least one module, each module including: a plurality of vertically-oriented supports and a planar inclined sheet including a flexible polymeric material tensioned between the plurality of vertically-oriented supports. The present invention is also directed to a water collection system of a water treatment system including: a collection trough configured to receive liquid and a buoyant member configured to support the collection trough.
Skimming and separation device
A skimming and separation device includes an outer casing (1) having constructions to directly or indirectly fasten all parts, including a number of inflow tubes (20), and defining a closed container (19). The device includes a floater (5) configured to create a skimming function. The floater is attached at its lower side to an essentially vertically arranged bellow (23) allowing the floater to adapt flow into a substantially circum volume that is allowing flow in a downward direction into the inflow tubes (20), which allow debris and floating pollutions to enter below the accumulated debris and floating pollutions to preferably set the internal fluid inside the casing (27) in horizontal circular rotational motion as a result of a power device (7). The power device is controlled by a control unit such that various kinds of flows and pressures may be generated to control the in-flow and out-flow of the device.
Radial Inflow Diffuser for Clarifier
An apparatus for diffusing wastewater into a clarifier is disclosed. The apparatus has a rotationally symmetric hollow body having a plurality of flow distributors positioned about a perimeter of the rotationally symmetric hollow body and a baffle extending around a bottom end portion of the rotationally symmetric hollow body. The apparatus is dimensioned to fit within an influent well of the clarifier and be connectable to the clarifier on a top end portion of the rotationally symmetric hollow body. A wastewater treatment system including a clarifier and the apparatus is disclosed. A method of retrofitting a circular clarifier by providing the apparatus is also disclosed.
Device for degassing liquids
A degassing chamber is disclosed, adapted for the efficient removal of entrained gases from liquids. In a preferred embodiment the degassing chamber is combined with and works in conjunction with a sedimentation tank to provide an efficient clarification station. The combined clarification station can have a footprint the same size as, or only slightly larger than, the footprint of the sedimentation tank alone. The degassing chamber is well-suited for retrofitting, and can easily be combined with most types of solid-liquid sedimentation tanks that are currently used in the industry.
Hydrodynamic separator
A separator unit includes a tank defining an internal volume and having an inlet and an outlet. A deck within the tank separates the tank into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. A weir at an upper side of the deck defines an inlet side atop the deck for receiving an influent liquid and an outlet side atop the deck, with a first opening through the deck on the inlet side for delivering liquid down into the lower chamber, and a second opening through the deck on the outlet side for delivering liquid from the lower chamber back up into the upper chamber. The separator includes one or more of an integrated drop pipe assembly with a dispersal manifold, a riser pipe with a vortex disrupting vane and/or a weir configuration that in part follows a periphery of the second opening.
