Filter device
A filter device has a filter housing (1) with a fluid inlet (13) for raw fluid, with a fluid outlet (3) for filtrate and with at least one one-piece or multi-piece filter insert (5, 7) received in the filter housing (1). The filter insert can be cleaned using at least one back-flushing member (21) in counter-current to the filtration direction. This back-flushing member can, by a fluid-guiding driveshaft (23) of a rotary drive (35), be moved along the inner side (19) of the respective filter insert (5, 7) and has, at its end adjacent to this inner side (19), a gap-shaped passage opening (39) that extends parallel to the axis of rotation of the driveshaft (23) and that discharges into a flow space (41; 57; 67) fluidically connected to the driveshaft (23). The flow space at least partially continuously narrows in the direction of the driveshaft (23) in a first plane in which the passage opening (39) lies. In another second plane transverse to the first plane, the flow space (41; 57; 67) at least partially continuously widens proceeding from the passage opening (39) in the direction of the driveshaft (23).
CHEMICAL FILTER ASSEMBLIES
A filter assembly has a housing defining an inlet and an outlet. A plurality of chemical filter elements are disposed in the housing and are arranged in a series with respect to fluid flow. A spacing region is between adjacent filter elements in the series. Also disclosed is an assembly having a housing and a first and second chemical filter element. The second chemical filter element is downstream of the first chemical filter element. Each chemical filter element has a sheet of chemical filter material having a first edge and a second edge. A first flow path is defined parallel to a surface of the first sheet extending from its first edge to its second edge. A second flow path is defined parallel to a surface of the second sheet extending from its first edge to its second edge.

Device for filtering liquid drawn in between two superimposed layers of filtering media
Disclosed is a filtration device for a liquid, including: at least two superimposed layers of filter media having weld lines creating strips between them, the layers of filter media having weld lines being superimposed such that the weld lines of one layer form, with the weld lines of the other layer, a mesh structure when viewed at an angle normal to the layers of filter media; a first external face and a second external face each being produced at least locally from a water-permeable material, the layers of filter media being positioned between the external faces; and an intake connector used for drawing liquid in through the filtration device.

Filter module and filter assembly
A filter module for a filter assembly has a primary filter element and a secondary filter element. A water separation interface is provided for discharging water, which has been separated by the primary filter element from a fluid to be filtered, from the primary filter element. A primary filter interface is provided for discharging fluid, which has been filtered by the primary filter element, from the primary filter element. A secondary filter interface is provided for discharging the fluid, which has been filtered by the secondary filter element, from the secondary filter element. The water separation interface, the primary filter interface, and the secondary filter interface are arranged coaxially to a symmetry axis of the filter module. The water separation interface, the primary filter interface, and the secondary filter interface are each designed for outflow of material flows in axial direction of the symmetry axis.
SINGLE-USE DEVICE FOR THE SEPARATION OR FILTERING OF A LARGE VOLUME OF A MIXTURE OF SUBSTANCES
A single-use device for separating or purifying a large volume of a mixture of substances including membrane chromatography modules which are fixedly mounted in a predetermined grid and a line system for linking the membrane chromatography modules and for connecting the membrane chromatography modules to each other. A cover or bottom mechanism holding the membrane chromatography modules in position in a predetermined grid may be attached to the upper or lower side of the membrane chromatography modules. At least part of the line system is formed in the cover or the bottom mechanism, with connecting lines between the membrane chromatography modules. In a method of separating or purifying a large volume of a mixture of substances using such a single-use device having a plurality of automated valves and sensors connected to a control unit, the automated valves are controlled based on an evaluation of the parameters measured by the sensors.
ADVANCED PASSIVE WEDGE WIRE SCREEN INTAKE
Screen intake assemblies and related methods of fabrication and operation that improve both operational performance and structural strength. The screen intake assembly can include one or more screen portions that run substantially and continually along the length of the screen assembly to provide increase fluid intake and uniform flow. The screen intake assembly can comprise a central manifold having an exterior manifold screen portion to provide additional filtering capacity. The screen intake assembly can be used alone or in combination with internal flow modifier structures to increase fluid intake and uniformity. Internal flow modifiers can include a perforated flow modifier pipe, an internal flow modifier pipe, and/or converging flow modifiers. The screen intake assembly can include cleaning systems that operate continuously or on demand.

The upstream end includes an inlet opening adapted to receive a flow stream of pressurized fluid from the high pressure fluid system and the downstream end being substantially closed. The flow suppression device also includes a primary inner flow containment member of a porous and flexible construction contained within the outer flow containment member. The primary inner flow containment member has an upstream end with an inlet opening adjacent the inlet opening of the outer flow containment member and a downstream end opposite the upstream end of the primary inner flow containment member.
IN-PIPE INSERTS FOR PIPING SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
In-pipe inserts for piping systems and related methods are described herein. An example filter insert includes an end plate having a set of openings, a set of filter tubes extending from a first side of the end plate, and a set of support rods extending through respective ones of the channels of the filter tubes. The support rods extend through the openings in the end plate. The filter insert also includes a first retainer disposed on a second side of the end plate. The first retainer is coupled to the support rods at or near first ends of the support rods. The filter insert further includes a second retainer coupled to the support rods at or near second ends of the support rods opposite the first ends such that the filter tubes are clamped between the end plate and the second retainer.
