A filter element for a filter unit for filtering a fluid may include a filter element body. The filter element body may include at least one structural body and a support body. The structural body may have a filter structure which is permeable for the fluid. The filter structure may have a plurality of meshes/pores. The filter structure may be structured as a three-dimensionally interlinked lattice structure having a repeating regularity. The plurality of meshes/pores may be formed as a plurality of clear spaces by a plurality of lattice rods that are securely connected to one another. The support body may include a support structure that is permeable for the fluid. The structural body and the support body may each be produced via a 3D printing method. The structural body and the support body may be 3D printed from at least one of various materials and material compositions.

According to at least one aspect, the invention provides a filter assembly (100) comprising a tubular housing and a filter device (70) locatable to extend longitudinally within the housing. The filter device (70) comprises a lattice structure of crossing internal and external elongated elements (18, 20). The lattice structure comprises an arrangement of pores (22), and the external elongated elements (20) are presented outwardly of the filter device (70) with respect to the plane of the pores, thereby to provide ribs on the exterior of the lattice which define a shaped channel that will act as a first level filter for larger particles. The external elongated elements are shaped and arranged to provide one or more additional filter levels for smaller particles in advance of said pores, through which yet even smaller particles may pass.

According to at least one aspect, the invention provides a filter assembly (100) comprising a tubular housing and a filter device (70) locatable to extend longitudinally within the housing. The filter device (70) comprises a lattice structure of crossing internal and external elongated elements (18, 20). Phase separation device
A phase separation device has a device housing (2) accommodating at least one coalescer element (42). The device housing (2) has an inlet (38) for the supply of an emulsion, which flows through the respective coalescer element (42) for separation into at least two of its constituents, has an outlet (46) for a separated constituent, and has a further outlet (22, 64) for a further separated constituent having a lower density than the one constituent and floating on the separated constituent having a higher density.
Phase separation device
A phase separation device has a device housing (2) accommodating at least one coalescer element (42). The device housing (2) has an inlet (38) for the supply of an emulsion, which flows through the respective coalescer element (42) for separation into at least two of its constituents, has an outlet (46) for a separated constituent, and has a further outlet (22, 64) for a further separated constituent having a lower density than the one constituent and floating on the separated constituent having a higher density.
MULTI-FUNCTION POOL SKIMMER WATER TREATMENT METHOD
A water treatment insert for a pool skimmer system includes a chemical treatment portion separated from a mechanical filtration portion. The treatment device includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper section can include a vertical wall or walls, which should be substantially watertight so that substantially all the water entering the pool skimmer flows through the upper portion, and then into the lower section. The entire device is preferably received in the filter basket receiving section of a conventional pool skimmer, in place of the conventional filter basket. One of the upper and lower sections provides mechanical filtration and the other chemical treatment, to enhance the water treatment function of the skimmer.
