Multistage filtrating pre-treatment for desalination of oilfield produced water
A method and system for treating oilfield produced water is disclosed. The method includes passing oilfield produced water through a chain of filters, first filter configured to filter particles of a size larger than 10 m from the water, a second filter configured to filter remaining particles of a size larger than 2 m from the water and a third filter configured to filter remaining particles of a size larger than 0.5 m from the water and automatically cleaning at least one of the filters.
Filter cleaning assembly for a dishwasher appliance
A dishwasher appliance includes a wash tub, a sump for collecting wash fluid, and a cylindrical filter screen positioned within the sump. A wash pump assembly includes a wash pump impeller and a supply conduit, the wash pump impeller being configured for urging the wash fluid through the cylindrical filter screen and into the supply conduit. A filter cleaning assembly includes a filter cleaning manifold positioned proximate the cylindrical filter screen and in fluid communication with the supply conduit and one or more vertical spray arms extending along the vertical direction adjacent the cylindrical filter screen, the one or more vertical spray arms defining a plurality of outer ports in fluid communication with the filter cleaning manifold, the plurality of outer ports being positioned and oriented for directing the wash fluid at least partially along a circumferential direction about the cylindrical filter screen.
METHOD OF CLEANING BEER AND BEER CLEANING APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a method of cleaning or filtering beer, having the following steps: applying beer onto an obliquely positioned filter (10), so that the beer runs down along the obliquely positioned filter (10) and liquid contained therein passes through openings of the filter (10) into a collecting space (20) beneath the filter (10) and solids contained in the beer slide downwards along the obliquely positioned filter (10), and routing the filtered beer out of the collecting space (20).
The invention also relates to a beer cleaning apparatus.
Pool and Spa Cartridge Filter Cleaning Device
A pool and spa cartridge filter cleaning device is provided. The device is comprised of a base which in one embodiment may be comprised of a rotating platform that allows a pool/spa filter cartridge to be placed and spun atop the base while being cleaned. The device also comprises a first tube with at least one opening that sprays water onto the exterior of the cartridge. A second tube, parallel to the first, is also comprised of at least one opening that allows water to clean the interior of the cartridge. Rotation of the platform is propelled by water impacting on the cartridge, which ultimately spins the platform (and cartridge) to ensure the cartridge is uniformly sprayed and cleaned.
PROCESS FOR THE CONTINUAL INLINE FILTRATION OF A PROCESS STREAM
The present invention provides a new type of filtration system. Traditional designs required that personnel open the system to clean/change strainers while a process was in operation. This invention provides a straining system that allows process stream to be filtered in a manner completely internal to the process. The system includes dual strainers with a nitrogen purging system and solvent flush system. A creatively designed catch area is installed internal to the process to collect all solids that are flushed from the strainer system. The system remains completely closed for the duration of each production campaign, thus eliminating the safety hazard and labor requirement associated with opening a process system.
Regenerative media filter air scouring apparatus and method
A water filtration system is also disclosed. The water filtration system includes a regenerative media filter vessel, a filtrate line, a feed line, a recirculation line, a gas line, and at least one pump. A method of filtering water in a system comprising a regenerative media filter is disclosed. The method includes operating the system in a filtration mode, operating the system in a cleaning mode responsive to a differential pressure measurement across the regenerative media filter, operating the system in an aeration mode, operating the system in a pre-filtration mode after operating the system in the cleaning mode, operating the system in a drain mode, and operating the system in the filtration mode following the drain mode. A controller and non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-readable signals stored thereon that define instructions that, as a result of being executed by the controller, instruct the controller to perform a method of operating a water filtration system are disclosed.
Microplastic effluent separator with wash apparatus
The invention relates to preventing microplastics from the entering the environment. In particular the invention is directed to regenerating the efficiency of filters for removing microfibers from washing machine waste water, as well as waste from other appliances and other sources of effluent with entrained microplastics. A separator is therefore provided for separating microplastics from waste water comprising a chamber with an inlet and an outlet, at least one sieve structure forming a permeable barrier between the inlet and the outlet and a wash apparatus for washing the sieve structure.
Device, assembly and method for separating tramp metals from liquid raw materials
A device for separating tramp metals from liquid raw materials includes a body unit, a holding unit, a magnetic unit, a rinsing unit, and a driving unit. The body unit includes a tank for feeding-in and feeding-out liquid raw materials. The holding unit is coupled to the tank and includes and a plurality of non-magnetic holders received in the tank. The magnetic unit is mounted on the tank and includes an enclosure having a telescopic wall to be in a compressed or extended state. The rinsing unit is fixed on the interior of the tank to rinse the non-magnetic holders. The driving unit is coupled the tank and the magnetic unit for driving the magnet unit moving between a first and second positions. An assembly is assembled from the device. And a method is carried out by the device or the assembly.
Regenerative media filter
