Residential grey water recycling system
This specification describes systems for the treatment and reuse of grey water and related processes. An exemplary system collects grey water from baths and showers and treats it for use in toilet flushing. Influent bathing water passes through a prefilter to remove larger particles and flows into a grey water collection tank. Collected grey water is filtered through a membrane designed to remove suspended solids. Membrane permeate passes through a sorbent media to remove soluble organics and then flows into a permeate tank. A chemical agent is used to disinfect water in one or more parts of the system and optionally to clean the membranes. A control system manages the operation of system. The system operates in a generally daily cycle with permeation dispersed over a material time, for example 4 or 8 hours or more.
WASTE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A human waste processing system adapted to process both human solid and liquid waste deposited into a toilet or similar vessel and to process the waste for further use and/or convenient disposal. The present system is specifically configured for use with low-water-volume flush toilets and dry toilets. In particular, the present system is configured to separate solid waste and liquid waste with liquid waste being processed via a plurality of sequential filtration stages and with the solid waste being processed by thermal decomposition such as pyrolysis/torrefaction processing.
Filtration apparatus and filter washing method therefor
A filtration apparatus includes: a cylindrical filter element formed in a cylindrical shape to filter a target fluid guided through an one end opening of the filter element in such a manner that the target fluid passes in a direction from an inside toward an outside of the filter element; a backwashing mechanism drawing the filtered fluid in a direction from the outside toward the inside of the filter element; a high-pressure washing mechanism injecting a high-pressure fluid so as to pass through the filter element in the direction from the inside toward the outside of the filter element; and a rotary drive mechanism rotating the backwashing mechanism and the high-pressure washing mechanism around an axial line of the filter element in an internal space of the filter element.
PRE-FILTERING DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF
A filtering device includes a hollow body, a filtering core assembly securely received inside the body and composed of an outer filtering core and an inner filtering core securely received inside the outer filtering core. A first switch device is mounted at a bottom end of the body and operably connected to a bottom of the filtering core assembly. A second switch device is mounted at a top end of the body and operably connected to a top of the filtering core assembly. A first chamber is defined between an inner face of the body and an outer periphery of the outer filtering core. A second chamber is defined an inner periphery of the outer filtering core and an outer periphery of the inner filtering core. A third chamber is defined inside the inner filtering core, wherein the first switch device controls communication between the first chamber and the second chamber.
FILTER DEVICE AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
A filter device for a refrigerator includes a switch, which detects whether a filter is installed, is turned on or off interlocking with rotation of a head cover, so that an operation for detecting whether the filter is completely installed and an operation for detecting a replacement completion signal of the filter can be synchronized with each other.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A FILTER DEVICE AND FILTER DEVICE
A method operates a filter device for polymer melt to be filtered. The filter device incorporates at least one first large-area filter in a first filter chamber and a second large-area filter in a second filter chamber; a first valve in a first inlet to the first filter chamber and a second valve in a second inlet to the second filter chamber to control the polymer melt to be filtered; a first drain valve in a first drain for the filtered polymer melt from the first filter chamber and a second drain valve in a second drain for the filtered polymer melt from the second filter chamber. The polymer melt to be filtered is conveyed under pressure through the filter device. The first inlet and the second inlet are connected to a common inlet and the first drain and the second drain are connected to a common drain. Polymer melt to be filtered is simultaneously fed to the first and second large-area filters in the filter direction. Parallel filtering is continuously performed via the first and second large-area filters. A backflushing operation for filtering via only one large-area filter is started when the large-area filter reaches a predefined degree of contamination at which the first large-area filter is cleaned.
Filtering apparatus
A filtering apparatus has a plurality of filtering elements (9) in a filter housing (1), a filter inlet (45) and a filter outlet (43). During the filtration operation, one of the filtering elements (9) can be back-flushed by a back-flushing device (13, 21). The back-flushing device has a pressure control device (13) including a hydraulic accumulator (13). One accumulator fluid chamber (67) can be filled during the filtration operation with a quantity of filtered fluid and can be connected for a back-flushing operation via a back-flushing guide (21) to the clean side (59) of the filtering clement (9) to be cleaned. Another accumulator fluid chamber (79) can be subjected to a media pressure.
Vertical slide backwash valve
Provided is a backwash valve comprising a body including a central tube extending along a length of the body, a first pool port and first filter port axially aligned at a first position along the body length, a second pool port and second filter port axially aligned at a second position along the body length, and a waste port; and a sliding gate including a stem connected to a gate body, the gate body including first and second chambers separated by an internal wall; the sliding gate movable between a filter position wherein fluid communication is provided among the first filter port, first chamber, and first pool port, and a backwash position wherein fluid communication is provided among the first filter port, second fluid chamber, and second pool port, and between the second filter port and waste port.
Filter Element, Filter, and Filter System with Return Line Bypass
A filter element has a filter material defining a raw side and a clean side of the filter element and to be flowed through by a medium to be filtered from the raw side to the clean side. A non-return element is disposed on the filter material. The non-return element allows a return flow of the filtered medium from the clean side back to the raw side and prevents a flow of the unfiltered medium from the raw side to the clean side. A filter and a filter system with such a filter element are disclosed. The filter system has a pump to supply medium to be filtered to the filter.
