Diluent treated drilling waste material recovery process and system
A process and apparatus for removing hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon containing drilling waste. The process includes introducing hydrocarbon contaminated drill cuttings into one or more centripetal cuttings separators to create two distinct phases, thereafter discarding the bulk solids containing less hydrocarbons and treating the concentrated liquids phase in a solvent wash apparatus, resulting in improved efficiency of the facility throughput, while not substantially impacting the capital cost or operating cost of a solvent wash process facility. Apparatus for performing the process is also described.
REGENERATIVE MEDIA FILTER
A regenerative filter that includes a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones; a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones; a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path. The filter elements are disposed in an monolithic array. An inlet port arrangement is disposed at the filter housing leading to the inlet zone and is constructed and arranged to direct the fluid path into the filter housing in a manner so as to maintain a controlled turbulence at the inlet zone. The inlet port arrangement comprises a pair of inlet ports that are arranged in juxtaposition at the inlet zone and each having one end where the fluid flow enters. Embodiments that are considered as falling under the scope of the present invention include 1. Single inlet/two or more outlets; 2. Two or more inlets/single outlet, or 3. Two or more inlets and two or more outlets.

Fluid filtration and particle concentration device and methods
Fluid filtration devices and methods of filtering fluids are described. The devices generally include a housing and an annular filter assembly, wherein the filter assembly is located inside the housing and comprises a filter material. The filter material may be, for example, an electroformed nickel screen having a smooth working surface and expanding pores. A rotating cleaning assembly comprising a distributor and wipers may be located inside the filter assembly.
Filter with magnet and protective bushing
The present disclosure relates to a filter, which comprises a housing, a protective bushing, a magnetic bar and a filter screen. The protective bushing, the magnetic bar and the filter screen are disposed in the housing. The protective bushing comprises a cavity and a channel. The channel is disposed along the axial direction of the cavity. The magnetic bar inside the filter adsorbs metal impurities in water in the channel. The shape of the channel increases the length of the flow path of the water so that the metal impurities in the water can be guaranteed to be sufficiently adsorbed by the magnetic bar. The filter screen filters out non-metal impurities in the water. An exhaust valve provided at the top of the protective bushing balances air pressure inside the filter and outside the filter, such that the water can flow out and in smoothly.
MEMS BASED FILTER AND CATALIZER
The present invention provides a filter for separating particles and/or catalyzer for particle reaction in a fluid. The device comprising array of passageways fabricated on a die wherein the passageway size is controlled by actuators. The passageway size is monitored and the actuators controlling the passageway size are activated conditionally upon the passageway size monitoring. Using movable actuators the passageway can achieve passageway size that is less then the fabrication minimal resolution. Proper locating, setting and/or activation of the actuators create passageways that can perform filtration of particles, trapping of particles and catalyzing particles reaction.
