SEPARATOR DEVICE
20200179951 · 2020-06-11 ·

A separator device for removing particles from suspension in a fluid includes a housing having first and second apertures for ingress and egress of fluid into and out of the housing. A first separator chamber is disposed at one end of the housing. A second separator chamber is disposed at the other end of the housing. A central chamber is disposed between the first and second separator chambers. The first and second separator chambers are apertured for ingress and egress of fluid from the central chamber, and each contains obstruction means to slow the flow of fluid within the chamber.

Separator device

A separator device for removing particles from suspension in a fluid includes first and second fluid-carrying portions and a non-fluid-carrying spacer for linking the first and second fluid-carrying portions. Each of the fluid-carrying portions includes a socket for receiving an open end of a pipe and a connector for connection of the filter. The socket of the first fluid-carrying portion has a pipe receiving depth greater than that of the socket of the second fluid-carrying portion. The sockets of the first and second fluid-carrying portions are positioned on a common axis and facing away from each other when the fluid-carrying portions are linked by the spacer.

A filter device for fluids, in particular in the form of a tank-installation return filter, includes a filter element (27) accommodated in a housing (3) having a fluid inlet (17) for supplying unfiltered fluid to an inner cavity (31) of the filter element (27). The inner cavity is surrounded by a filter medium (29) through which unfiltered fluid can flow. A flow-conducting apparatus (13, 49, 77) orients the flow of the unfiltered fluid reaching the filter medium (29) and is provided between the fluid inlet (17) and the inner cavity (31) of the filter element (27).

Single weld contactor

A membrane contactor includes: a cap has an internally beveled surface and a cap port; a cup body has an externally beveled surface in sealing engagement with the internally beveled surface, a side port on a side of the cup body and an end port located on an end of the cup body; and a membrane cartridge is located within the cup body, is sealed to an open end of the cup body, and is in sealed fluid communication with the end port. A method of making a membrane contactor includes the steps of: sealingly mating a perforated center of a membrane contactor with the end port of a cup body; sealingly joining an end of the membrane cartridge adjacent an open end of the cup body; and sealingly joining a beveled surface of the cap to a beveled external surface of the cup body.

LIQUID TREATMENT DEVICE

A liquid treatment device is configured to perform at least one treatment from a group of at least two different treatments. The liquid treatment device includes a connector defining an input conduit and an output conduit, a housing defining a closed-off space, and an adapter inside the housing. The adapter is moveable in the housing between at least a first position corresponding with a first liquid treatment and a second position corresponding with a second liquid treatment. A control is disposed outside the housing and connected to the adapter, and is configured to set the adapter from outside of the housing into one of at least the first position and the second position.

Disclosed herein is a single pass cross flow filtration system comprising: a filtration module comprising two or more filtration segments fluidly connected in series, each having an upstream side and a downstream side; wherein each filtration segment comprises hollow fiber filter membranes, and wherein, when in use, the desired permeate flux is controlled by a configuration comprising; each filtration segment having a selected length; the hollow fiber filter membranes of each filtration segment having a selected inner diameter, wherein the selected inner diameters may be the same or different, provided that at least one of the selected inner diameters differs from the others, and provided that the two or more filtration segments are arranged such that no inner diameter is larger on the upstream side; and one or more pumps, mounted in the permeate channel.

Method for separating solid particles from a waterbody

The present disclosure relates to a method for separation of solid particles from a waterbody. Preferably, the present disclosure relates to a method, wherein a combination of chemicals including coagulant(s) and flocculant(s) are employed for said separation of solid particles, wherein suitable examples of solid particles are living organisms and non-living matter, wherein living organisms include autotrophs such as phototrophs, which are either microscopic or macroscopic in nature (algae). The disclosure thus particularly relates to method of chemical coagulation and flocculation for separating solid particles, preferably either algae or bacteria or both from a waterbody. The present disclosure also provides for an alternate method, wherein the aforesaid method of coagulation and flocculation is combined with electro-coagulation and/or pH modulation strategies for separation of said solid particles in any sequence.

Filter controller

A filter controller which comprises a manifold and at least one filter assembly. The manifold comprises a plurality of portholes and channels into and through which a fluid, such as, e.g., a fuel, may flow. The filter assembly comprises an upper filter subassembly and a lower filter subassembly. The filter assembly can be fitted directly onto the manifold without the use of pipes and fittings and such that the filter assembly is in fluid communication with the portholes and channels necessary for effective filtering, polishing, and flow of the fluid through the system and through the assembly into which the system is integrated.
