The case may be formed of a single injection molded piece integrally formed by injection molding one of a polyurethane or a thermoset polymer. The screening elements together form a generally continuous screening surface across the exterior of the grid frame, which reduces blinding and is resistant to wear and tear.
FILTER CARTRIDGE FOR A WHOLE HOUSE WATER FILTERING SYSTEM
A filter cartridge for a whole house water filter includes a cylindrical, or tubular, filter media coupled to a mixer tank with improved high flow mixing features. The mixer tank includes a bowl in which a flow diverter, a flow guide with angled fins and a filter media are provided. The flow diverter has a concave portion, i.e., a mushroom-shaped portion, the interior of which is in fluid connection with a central passage through which filtered water flows. In operation, the filtered water flows through the central passage and is deflected by the concave interior of the flow diverter down through the angled fins of the flow guide. The filtered water then passes out through an outlet. The mixer tank stirs the filter media and water mix to increase the kinetics of the mixing process.
Water purifier and flow rate control method therefor
Provided is a water purifier that includes a filtering unit for producing purified water by filtering influent water; a TDS measuring unit for measuring the total dissolved solids (TDS) in the water flowing into the filtering unit; a purified water passage through which the purified water is discharged; a concentrated water passage through which concentrated water, filtered by the filtering unit, is discharged; a concentrated water flow control valve for controlling the flow rate of the concentrated water discharged through the concentrated water passage; and a control unit for adjusting the degree of opening and closing of the concentrated water control valve, on the basis of the TDS and the pressure of the water flowing into the filtering unit.
WATER FILTER/SCREEN
A filter or intake screen 100 (“filter”) for removing parties from a fluid has a filter media 110 having a first side 120 and an opposite second side 130, wherein the fluid flows, in use, from the first side 120 to the second side 130. The filter 100 further comprises a discharge port 160 provided at a first end of the filter media 110 on the second side 130 of the filter media 110. A plurality of vanes 140 are provided to the second side 130 of the filter media and are configured to direct the flow of water from the filter media 110 towards the discharge port 160. The flow of water from the vanes 140 discharges into an interior volume 150 which is in fluid communication with the discharge port 160, wherein a cross-sectional area of the interior volume 150 decreases with increasing distance from the discharge port 160.
A MICROPARTICLE FILTER, A TEXTILE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF FILTERING MICROPARTICLES
A microparticle filter suitable for filtering microparticles from effluent from a textile treatment apparatus. The filter comprises a filter chamber comprising chamber walls, an inlet and an outlet. The filter also comprises a filter medium contained within the filter chamber. The filter medium is configured to filter microparticles from the effluent forming a filter residue and providing a filtered effluent to the outlet. The filter comprises a filter residue collection chamber located external to the filter chamber, and a filter residue removal apparatus. The chamber walls comprise an opening and a moveable member movable between a first and a second configuration; wherein: in the first configuration the moveable member cooperates with the chamber walls to seal the filter chamber so entry of the effluent into the filter chamber is through the inlet only and exit of the filtered effluent from the filter chamber is through the outlet only. In the second configuration the moveable member has moved to provide an opening in the chamber walls so that the filter residue removal apparatus is operable to remove filter residue from the within the filter chamber to the filter residue collection chamber through the opening. The present disclosure also relates to textile treatment apparatus comprising the microparticle filter, to the use of the microparticle filter and the textile treatment apparatus, and to methods of filtering microparticles from effluent from a treated textile.
Round Filter Element of a Filter for Urea-Water Solution and Filter
A round filter element of a filter for a urea-water solution has a filter bellows with a filter medium that continuously extends circumferentially, relative to a filter element axis, around an element interior. An end body is fastened to an end face of the filter bellows and provided with a connecting section for fastening the round filter element to a housing cover of a filter housing of the filter. The end body has a central opening communicating with the element interior. The central opening has a central insertion section for receiving a flexible separation section of a volume compensation device of the filter and has an outer flow-through section enabling flow of the urea-water solution out of the filtration volume or into the filtration volume. The filter has a volume compensation device with a flexible separation section that separates a compensation volume from the filtration volume of the filter.
Filter apparatus
A filter apparatus, in particular for the filtration of hydraulic media, includes a filter housing (4) and a filter element (30) arranged in the filter housing, Air present in the filter housing (4) can be removed from the housing by suction by a degassing device (52) that generates a negative pressure.
